It's nice when the solution doesn't involve a trip to the music store repair service department. I took my Yamaha synthesizer to the shop to find out why my speakers didn't work. The techs took the keyboard apart ($100) and then told me I had my external speakers plugged into the wrong jacks. Thanks, Federico. Rich

Sounds to me like your settings are off somewhere. I'd go through the Function settings and see. Check Sustain, etc.

This will reset your keyboard to factory settings. I hope it works for you. Best wishes. Rich 1) Turn OFF the keyboard. 2) Press and hold down the rightmost white key (C) while turning ON the keyboard. 3) Once the power is ON, release the key. The keyboard will reinitialize to the original factory settings.

I'm sorry to hear that. I have a video for fixing a loud key. Possibly some dust in the keyboard. That's all I can think. It could be something else. You'll just have to perform experiments until you figure it out. I'm not a tech, for sure. Good luck!

It could be a setting. If you've checked everything else, this might help: I'm not a technician. If your keyboard is acting strangely, I'd suspect dust or dirt has gotten inside the keyboard. I had a key that played loud one time and fixed my keyboard by cleaning the contacts inside. It took me a couple of hours to take the screws out of the keyboard and clean. You might check my video on KZbin. Search: "I fix a loud key on my Yamaha DGX-520 digital piano. Thrilled!!"

I have another keyboard similar to this that I bought for $25 since it had keys that didn't work. Soon as I started playing, and kept playing, the keys came back to life. Occasionally I will get a little squeal from a key so I'll probably take it apart and clean all the keys. No hurry since I have other working keyboards. I hope you are able to fix your keyboard. I don't know why the volume on one side of your keyboard is lower than the other. It could be that there was a setting mistakenly made that causes this but I can't tell you how to reset or to fix. I'm not a piano tech. Good luck. Rich
