@@DEEZEEMTB They’re an absolute disgrace and embarrassment. Barry Bonds and Dan Marino don’t have rings, I get it, but what is it about the Angels that makes them want history to repeat itself. Baseball is dying, and Shohei can stop that from happening. They have already sunk Mike Trouts career and it seems they can’t wait to do it to Ohtani as well. Any one of us could put together a 95 win team and make it to the ALCS over the course of a decade+ yet the Angels can’t. God bless you for your unflinching loyalty.

In certain sports you can say that African Americans have an advantage. Marathon Running with the Calcitran Tribe of Kenya; Sprinting short distances with Usain Bolt and the like from Jamaica or Michael Johnson of the USA; ect. With Baseball -- you can't say that. For every Ross Radburn or Josh Gibson, there was a Lou Gherig and babe ruth. In the integration era, for every Bob Gibson , there was a Tom Seaver and Sandy Koufax For every Willie Mays there was a Mickey Mantle; For every Reggie Jackson there was a Mike Schmidt Race ain't got nothing to do with it in baseball. The only category where blacks out perform the rest is stolen bases with Rickey Henderson and Kenny Lofton. That was it! one stat! Not gold gloves, not defense, not hitting, not catching, NOTHING!!!! Stop making Racist argument and give the Babe his dues! AS I Give Josh Gibson and Satchel Page their dues! And as for your argument about the color line.... it's also ignorant and dumb. Babe Ruth in the offseason would make barn storming teams and play all the negro league and Cuban ball players . He didn't draw racial lines! He was a pure baseball player who played anyone and everyone there was out there. Let me quote you a line from a 1937 article in the NYT newspaper "Joe Dimaggio goes 1-3 VS Satchel Page, kid is ready for the majors" How the HELL did Joe Dimaggio hit off Satchel Page in 1937 ?????

Started following this team in 2016 because of Trout. It’s incredible how bad their front office is. How can you not be able to put a good team around Trout and Ohtani for so long? It’s not even about money. They can’t spot good pitchers and for a long time couldn’t get a good hitting crew around Trout. They are the most average team in any sport, always within five games of .500, and they’ll be so terrible if the possible greatest player in history didn’t play for them.

A better question is can the Angels afford to sign Ohtani for $400 million for 12 years? There is no way in hell Ohtani is signing anything less than $300 million considering the discount right now.

Seem kinda low, $400 millions for 12 years? I was thinking $525 millions for 10 years. Hell, if i was an owner, i would have no problem given him $550 and have him for next 10 years. Imagine how much $$$ he can rakes in for you.

@@sonnyly7013 yeah, I wouldn't be surprised if Shohei signs the richest contract in American professional sports, so $500+ million is probably the right amount for him. Messi and Ronaldo are both getting $80+ million a year and they played like 40+ club games plus a dozen for their country.

@@sonnyly7013 I am Japanese and proud of him. But, if I'm the owner, I'm not going to give him a 10-year contract. It's too scary to keep him for more than 10 years (2-way is insanely hard) The limit is to offer a contract of 250M for 5 years at most.

How are the Angels real. No seriously how is it possible. They make the Sacramento Kings look like Jordan’s Bulls. At least the Edmonton Oilers make the playoffs so people can watch how insane McDavid and Draisatl are, how many baseball fans in New York have ever watched Mike Trout or Ohtani? It’s absurd. Get these guys out of that barren wasteland so people can actually witness how great they are.
