Baseball is dying, and Shohei can stop that from happening. They have already sunk Mike Trouts career and it seems they can’t wait to do it to Ohtani as well. Any one of us could put together a 95 win team and make it to the ALCS over the course of a decade+ yet the Angels can’t. God bless you for your unflinching loyalty.

Correct me if I am wrong, but his contract is ~12M a year. He plays for a Japanese league team and the Angels are only renting him. I believe he was making 500k-600k for the first two years and only half of the 5.5M last year while the rest went to his old club.

Think I'll take Ohtani's back 2 back nights of 2 Hr's/8 RBI followed by 13K's through 8 scoreless innings over Vander Meer's back 2 back no-hitters. Because at least with Vander Meer he had the opportunity to have a few days of rest in between. What Ohtani just did happened within the span of just 24 hours.

Started following this team in 2016 because of Trout. It’s incredible how bad their front office is. How can you not be able to put a good team around Trout and Ohtani for so long? It’s not even about money. They can’t spot good pitchers and for a long time couldn’t get a good hitting crew around Trout. They are the most average team in any sport, always within five games of .500, and they’ll be so terrible if the possible greatest player in history didn’t play for them.
