I think Tomlin would KILL it in college. That said, who wants to go from the Steelers, coaching men, to college where you have to spend 360 days a year begging 17 year old kids to pick your school? Screw that.

@@thegrandarchitect1 USC is not relevant? That is just insane. They're just not good right NOW...but this is like saying 'Bama wasn't relevant before Saban. That's one of the top 5 programs in the country. A good coach who can recruit and just keep those kids in state would make them relevant. Once they get back to being a top 20 team and start getting out of state kids sprinkled in, they'll again be dominant. And I give zero fucks about SC and obviously I think the Steelers are a better job. Maybe the best job in all of Football, so not arguing that part, but schools like USC, 'Bama, Texas. ..the blue bloods, they're always a "relevant" job or program. Plus the obvious ones like OSU, OK, GA. But put Tomlin at USC and they're in the CFP in 5years.

@@scourge8097 It's easily the best job in all of football. Quite possibly in all of U.S. professional sports. USC's last national title was nearly 20 years ago. In the past decade, they've won their conference exactly one time. It's a completely irrelevant program. It's their brand that's relevant, but given enough time, that won't be relevant either unless they turn things around. I can see why they'd want a guy like Tomlin, but the fact of the matter is he's way above that job.

Mike Tomlin has 2 ring as 1 as HC one as a Defensive Backs coach under Jon Gruden but was actually hired to Dungys Buc staff not by Gruden. They picked of 3 passes in the Buccaneers SB win in 02.

it make sense that he wouldn't go to college football to Coach. As a USC fan I think he'd be the perfect guy to bring out that USC legacy in players!

That's exactly what they were doing. Carson Palmer knew exactly what he was doing. Creating a distraction for Tomlin to address. He just didn't know that Tomlin was going to destroy the distraction so quickly.

Why would he go anywhere? He gets to coach where Al Bundy played, granted it's no Polk High, so he didn't get to coach him throwing 4TDs in one game, but it's still nice.

Crazy thing is reporters don't care about an aggressive answer. They are gonna keep pressing for answers regardless of how insulted you seem. But after Tomlin's answer, the reporters were quiet as a mouse. Lol.... Stop playing with that man!!!

2:25 "The benefit of college is that if you win, you're there forever..." Not entirely true, but for a majority of places, yes. Yet places like USC, Ohio State, Michigan, etc; you can win all the time but if you don't beat your rivals and win championships...YOU ARE OUT! Happens all the time. Expectations can be outrageous in some places.
