A rugby player may be the best new kickoff returner. Some of those guys can flat out fly and tackling them is hard.

Wearing pads it’s a lot easier to tackle them

Having a halfback with good vision as a kick returner would definitely be advantageous, seeing as how these blocking schemes could end up resembling run plays, and having a guy who knows where the hole is or where it will be is crucial. You could argue that power would be even more valuable than speed.

The NFL is not ready for the emergence of King Kene!

With the kicking team not able to move until the ball is touched, I don't see how the ball doesn't start on the 40 almost every time. Only person on either team that gets a head of steam is the kicker. Kickers had better be working on their corner kicks...

Bring in the Aussie guys. I suspect the Aussie invasion that's happened in college punting may start to creep into NFL kicking specialists.

Vikings enjoy Andrew Van Ginkel. I bet when he gets back from his injury he will love to play special teams…. Miami’s Loss.

This Blonde Policition along with Wallstreet dude has the Vikes being underdogs in ALL 17 games. Unbelievable

Just another stupid and ridiculous rule change by the NFL. It's becoming unwatchable. How about going back to kickoffs from the 30 yard line. Nothing was wrong with kickoffs. If it ain't broke don't fix it.

i think the argument is that it WAS broken, because of the injury rates.

30 percent of all acl tears in the nfl happen on special teams, even though special teams only account for 17 percent of the plays. If you're unable to do the math, that means you are twice as likely to injured on those plays. Thats insanely unsafe when you think about it for more than 2 seconds

So what. It's called football. Injuries are always gonna happen. The players now are so much more injury prone than before because they are soft, and now football has become soft. Go ahead and keep regurgitating the same crap that the media says though.

Tua had 3 concussions two years ago just falling and hitting his head. Do we ban gravity next. Or ban hard playing surfaces. Just trampolines and foam walls
