The ironic part is the Astros hate playing with the roof open. When the MMP roof is open, the Astros are more likely to lose, in fact they're 1-5 in postseason games when the roof is open. The MLB demanded the Astros to keep the roof open for game 2 because they wanted to remove some of the advantages for the Astros and keep the Yankees in the series. And yet, the Yankees still lost. And now, they're blaming the roof being open, which the MLB forced open TO HELP THE YANKEES, for losing. LMAO

It's not so much that we just generally hate opening the roof at Minute Maid, it's that 95% of the season is in sweltering crushing heat in Houston ..lol. So, assuming we get to the post season, we get just a few weeks of open-roof baseball... and that's assuming that October itself is even cool enough... 😂

Nothing to do with MLB. To get the money to build a stadium with a retractable roof, the Astros had to bow and scrape to local politicians. There's actually a local law that if the weather meets certain standards (which it did for game 2) the roof MUST be open.

I'm sick of hearing Yankees players/fans excuses. Throughout the history of baseball, the Yankees have had a significant advantage over the rest of the league in payroll. Some of the tweaks have the last 20 years have blunted that somewhat, but it's still there. In this way, rooting for them is like rooting for the house in a casino. Just glad I lived long enough to see the team I've lived and died with for 40 years live rent free in their collective heads. It will be ironic if they lose the one generational talent they developed to free agency. Then the fan base can feel what folks in Oakland, Kansas City, Tampa, and a lot of others feel.

As a Cubs fan I'm sure happy Astros moved to American League 9-10 years ago. There's likely a lot of other National League fans who think the same, especially NL Central fans(Cubs, Cardinals, Brewers, etc.). At time of move, though, Astros weren't very good. I found the wind excuse absurd. Conditions are same for both teams. I'm 72 and have unhappy memories of all those wind aided homers by road teams in Wrigley Field. Astros took advantage of short right field porch in game 3, while Yankees put up a big ZERO. Now Yankees are out of their misery. I liked the Bulls/Knicks analogy. Knicks got by Bulls once in the 90's when Jordan was temporarily retired, and it took 7 games to do it with home team winning all 7 games.

Thank you T muny. The radar gun as well as measuring pitch velocity coming out of the pitcher's hand, not at the plate. 🤣🤣 Anyone who knows physics knows that an object's speed (in the case of a thrown baseball) decreases over distance, so it may come 100 out of the hand, but it will decrease over the 60 feet to the plate.

Benintendi and lemahieu were hitting.250 in 2022, not .300. But the point stands that not having them hurt.

At 4:44 .... Even at home it wasn't enough to beat the Astros. The Yankees barely beat Cleveland.... barely.

Why are the Yankees complaining about the wind when it rained out two games at their home playing the Guardians? Win a game and stop complaining, it’s annoying. They complain more than a team that has below .500 win/loss rate. I’m complaining about the Yankees complaining lol

The Yankees analytic approach is to hit home runs. That’s what an 8 year old would come up with. “”Judge looks like Superman, he should hit home runs!”

Bregman / Judge. All you have to do is look at the flags just Right of Center Field to see which way the wind was blowing. Boone is a bonehead for that comment.

"They are basically the Bulls to our 90's Knicks." If you lived through that... you know how absolutely DAMNING that statement is, and it 100% right. 90's were all about grinding possessions and defense, and the Knicks did it better than anyone. Similar to the three true outcomes era we live in today. But when a team thats great for the era meets a team thats great period, you cant win. Your gimmicks come up short. And thats the Yanks in a Nutshell. Cole is Ewing, Judge is Starks, IKF is Chris Childs... 💀

Don’t think that’s fair to say hou the only team Yankees can’t beat. First in the early 00s it was bos. Then it Detroit , bottom line is even sice 2001 the Yankees have been in decline.
So Cute 🥰 who is better?
