On penalties pretty much and poor decision on Warren getting picked off. Run the ball make some plays with his arm, take care of the football don't turn it over and no stupid penalties that would be costly

Feldman’s voice is very Dick Cavette-esque. Some here calling him a Michigan hater but I thought he has a balanced opinion. He’s critical of Michigan’s Dline but also giving a mediocre opinion of USC’s Oline which is surprising but it could be true. If that’s the case based on Miller Moss’s passing success he however must be one of the top 3 QBs in the Nation.

SEC fan here who enjoys watching Michigan play in the Big10. My guess as to what M will do this week is similar to what the Wolverines did to Penn State last year (I think)... which is line up and run the ball 50 times with an occasional play action pass. Orji as a starting QB1 will have to wear 2 hats (as QB1 and also RB) in an RPO that leverages Edwards as RB1 and Orji as an RPO RB. This plan (if used this week) would do couple of things: (1) Shortens the game by rushing the ball 50 times instead of passing offense, and (2) by rushing the ball, the USC offense with its talented QB/WRs will be on the sidelines watching helplessly. Now, that is a double-edged sword... Michigan must execute the plan on offense and its defense must play lights out because if USC offense is allowed to play and put up points, Michigan may not be able to stay competitive on the scoreboard by merely rushing the ball. It only works if Offense keep rushing the ball by keep doing long drives (8-11 plays in a row) and Defense shutting down USC on possession time. Can't wait to watch this game.

The plan also assumes SC won’t be able to stop the run. Lynn is a majestic defensive coordinator. He’s going to throw different stunts at him all game. I’d be very surprised if Michigan is successful running the ball 50 times.. heck they’re going to start off loading up the box and forcing him to throw.

That is why you have to sprinkle in some play action passes every now and then to keep the SC defense guessing and spread them out instead of being predictable by running continuously. Also, Edwards need to step up and hit the gap or go around the box like how B. Corum used to do by jump cutting around bodies.
