Ritchie Faulkner has been a true inspiration for me a not only a Judas Priest fan, but a guitar player. I love his style and technique. I have also seen him in many interviews and he is a classy stand up guy. Class all the way, as he knows how good he has it and didn’t forget where he came from .🤘🤘RF

I really admire players who aren't too dependent on the whammy bar and string dampeners..so pure...Looks like this dude belongs to the school of Marty Friedman and Alex Skolnik....but his playing is Michael Schenker with a lil bit of Paul Gilbert no doubt...You can tell this is an impromptu playing, but his fingers are so damn automatic,not many people can do that! the mark of a great guitar player
@shadowalk51419 жыл бұрын
Kenny Ken Agreed. Glad I'm not the only here who's all for the fixed bridge shredders!
@kennyken72789 жыл бұрын
Yeah, I fucking hate guitar players who wank the whammy bar too much, it's a lazy way create a ''resting point'' in your solos,totally uncreative, repetitive and boring (cough Satriani cough) while fixed bridge players have no choice but to hit those notes all the time, Marty Friedman uses these resting points cleverly in all of his solos, that's why I really admire his playing...A whammy bar can be a useful creative tool as long as there is a musical value on top of it...but if you only use it as a tension/stress reliever or a helpline to buy time (ie harmonics-divebomb-harmonics-pull etc), then fuck....You belong to the school of Kerry King
@SLAMSTERDAMN9 жыл бұрын

4:36 he does that a few times on these tracks. I thought it was legato until here. It is 1/16th note gallops which is where the pick attack is coming through and the slight pause between patterns. I think it sounds BA. Also, take note Hammett, this how a wah should be used. I'm becoming a Ritchie fan since his work with Priest is confining and derivative, for obvious reasons.

@jerryIB1009 жыл бұрын
+SLAMSTERDAMN to be quite frank the problem is more where it would fit inside the control cavity cause if you look a flying V its like a tele. you access the electronics from under the pick guard and i for one cannot understand where he put the battery cause it doesn't fit its too big. the only solution is to route another path for the battery but i want to do that as a last resort.
