I wish Bitwig had more live performance videos. I feel it's really lacking in that department. If people saw what it could do live, and how DJs and live acts could incorporate it to their arsenal, they would have a lot more recognition.

I'm interested in how the audio and tempo are sent from Tratkor to Bitwig. Ideally I want to run the tracks and tempo from Traktor, and send the tempo and audio into Bitwig where I use a selection of effects over the Traktor audio, tempo sync'd to Traktor, and recording it all in Bitwig.
@ChrisBartholomewMusic2 жыл бұрын
Tempo wise I think it's all happening with Ableton Link. Audio's a bit more complex - but basically I think they're both running on the same interface into the the Model 1 mixer, then the outputs from the mixer (which has built in send and returns) are plugged back into the interface. You could mimic something like it with Blackhole audio router with software only!

Ableton Link for tempo sync. Send/return channel in the DAW (BitWig/Ableton Live/etc..) or on the DJ mixer.

If Bitwig had free upgrades for life like FL Studio they would get a lot of conversions. Even just discounted upgrades would be great.
@fich11112 жыл бұрын
You pay a one off fee for a year's worth of upgrades even if its a major version upgrade, its cheaper than most other daw upgrades, it's not a requirement, if you don't pay, you still keep what you've paid for, and upgrade plans are discounted usually on black Friday and sometimes other sales throughout the year. When I switched from fl I wasn't keen on the idea, was using fl since its inception and only switched to bw 2 years ago, but using fl now feels dated and clunky, bw is so much better

@@DelasVC I see. Never thought of that. But makes totally sense. Because the music he makes now sounds exactly like the music what people think of when they hear of the word "Techno". His music used to be a bit more minimalistic. However, it would be kind of sad if he makes his music 100% based on mainstream opinion. That would be my biggest nightmare as an artist.

@@umutcoskun4247 I‘m sure it‘s not 100%, but for some reason they all play „harder“ music these days and people go completely nuts for it! I‘d say this is partly because of taste but also partly because the mainstream just reacts so well to it these days..
