Ritchie is definitely one of the best guitarist ever on this planet

This guy can play with anybody. As technical and as fast as they want to get. Blues, check, jazzy stuff, check, chicken pickin, check, shreddin, check, etc. For people who don't know how good Richie is, I dare you to research everything you can find of him playing. It just might mess up your favorite players list and the order they are in. Phenomenal player!

You can shreds, you can groove, youre good looking..your voice is amazing. Youre just perfect. I understand with those dislikes..

I love Kotzens tone and his stylish bluesy licks. He has proven himself to be a force in the rock guitar world.

Ritchie has matured so much as musician. I love this. It's hard to pick a favorite Shrapnel guy but I do love this man's music. His tone is so much better than it used to be.

i always think thats why they dont fucking let Richie be mainstream. because hes superhuman in that aspect nobody wants superman around
@emanl843 жыл бұрын
For a merely thermodynamical reason, he should have immensely fucked up somewhere else in his life to not have obtained all the recognition he deserves as a musician.

I'm wondering why there is so much dislikes below videos of Ritchie. I discovered him few months ago, before that I didn't even know that he exist and he became one of my favourite guitarists immediately. I guess that he's too good for some people and they push the "dislike" button just because they are overhelmed by his inhuman music skills. I mean... how many people are THAT good at guitar, have THAT good vocal and are THAT good in creating compositions and making songs... AT ONCE??
@janjose56478 жыл бұрын
+Łukasz Jaskulski Can't agree more. His musical style is reminiscent of Prince, Terence Trent D'arby, etc.... In my opinion, his talent is better than anyone else in the late 80-early-90 shred guitarist.

Poison fans.

My guess is most of the dislikes on this video are from Paul Gilbert fans. It's hard to fill the void of a legend like him no matter how good you are.

I've been listening to Kotzen now for bout a year. And I'm still finding " new to me " stuff of his. He's amazing. I would love to sit down on my kit and play some of those Groovin , Jazzy, R&B sounding songs of his with him.

You would be hard pressed to find anyone who can play like that and sing just as good. Truly a unique talent, and one of my top favorite guitarist. They guy has it all, and can do it all. His legato technique is the best I've ever seen.
@faithandpractice6 жыл бұрын
The guy is truly one of my favorites. The two recordings of him with Greg Howe are just absurd. Who the heck ever thought to put those two monsters together? One of them on an album is enough to melt your brain. Two of them together is just wrong in such a good way. If you haven't heard Kotzen's first album you've gotta track it down. The thing is just stupid.
@codyhigh91696 жыл бұрын
I just read of the dislike of so many people when it comes to Richie... I saw Richie play on MTV while with Poison, the stand video. And since I wasn't a fan of poison I left the room until I heard the lead and knew C.C.Deville wasn't playing. I've been a loyal fan of Richies ever since. AS of today I've yet to see him live but I will. The Winery Dogs preferably since I'm a big fan of all 3 of them cats. And to all the tone deaf lames out there, you've got to be kidding to not her the depth and feel of Richies playing. Rock FN on Richie. You're the siznit my boy...... Kenny White Fresno ca...

2:57 onwards is just awesome! IMO - Ritchie was a lot better then vs now. But then again, he was much younger here (33 yrs) and really trying to impress, so that kinda figures! LOL! In fact, even in 2021, if he would clean shave, change his hairstyle back to this more youthful "cut", and get back in shape, etc., he'd probably look like that now even in his 50's! But, all image recs aside (LOL), he's still one on my all time favorite late 80s-90s shredder players who turned "bluesy" later on. 👍☺

Richie's evolution is one to follow. Early public days were playing others music with flair. The artist Richie is appreciated more in his Solo and Winery Dogs work. Complex rhythms and a modern rock style. Finger picking change was the right move Richie. Keep making music.

That woulda been Paul Gilbert at that time! also a legend hes more of a shredder ,Kotzen was Gilberts very worthy and admirable replacement though but if ya saw them live in 90 I believe that woulda been Mr Gilbert on guitar at that time!.I could be wrong Maybe Kotzen had couple dif tenures with Mr Big or maybe he and gilbert were both on band at one point but pretty sure!.
