East Coast artist on Def Jam must've been flopping so hard into the early 90's, that it took Warren G to save the label.
@Israel-nb7ip4 жыл бұрын
Try doing some research before talking out ya ass. East coast early 90s Def Jam artists were going gold (EPMD, Redman, Slick Rick, etc), which was a big deal back then, to platinum (Public Enemy, LL Cool J, Onyx, Method Man, etc.). Def Jam almost went bankrupt because of bad money management and overextending themselves financially. Warren G came along at the right time to give Def Jam a much needed cash infusion with the huge success of the Regulate single and his album. East coasts artists had nothing to do with the Def Jam financial situation.
@kevinumba62814 жыл бұрын

LL was the darling of def jam, empmd, public enemy etc... other labels grew and def jam had competition . i respect def jam for having artists each were different had their own style. Boos, jayo feloney i think and south central cartel were def jam as well
