My old stomping grounds. I lived and worked in the Galleria area for 18 yrs. Worked down the street from that Sheraton on West Loop South and San Felipe. But, Post Oak and Kirby have all been redeveloped da house and looks like a different city now. I also used to live next to the Target on San Felipe. All those high rise condos were not there when I lived there. Don't miss it at all. Been there, done that.

When I was working in a hotel they were doing the renovations while we were there working. Like you said they try to cut corners and just paint over the old things and the sheets, matress cover, cutlery, table wear, cookware, kettle, microwave fridge pillows and doonas and blankets are not new. That blue colour wall is depressing when I worked there. Also the round table and retro chairs dated instantly after working in the hotel after about a week. They used a similar colour scheme in our hotel. It’s cute but not. I do love the bathroom mirror though. 😊
