I remember these places: Twisters, Exile. I was in Richmond from 1981 to 1986, and again from 1986 to 1994. I left for Minneapolis in 94. After seeing this video, I guess it was a good move out of Richmond then. I know that VCU has altered the landscape very much. I returned for a visit in 2001, and it wasn't much different then from the 90s. I'm due for an updated visit.

I would cruise there weekends. I miss Twisters; saw the Misfits there. Went to VCU there too. Awesome place. So many memories..up on the roof....

Good times. Such freedom to skate around all over. Seeing multiple shows a weekend. Never once running into trouble despite skating at all hours of the night.

That was my last roommate in Richmond at 1:48. That's hilarious. I saw some of the best shows of my life at twisters. Wow this takes me back... oh wow he has a 200 meg drive at 2:01 LOL.

Gosh what great times in RVA, spent so much time in the bottom. Farmers Market Inn, Moondance, Floodzone, Alley Katz now I’d be afraid to roam those streets like I did all during the 90’s. Many good times and memories.

It was so great because the room was so small and the band was right there in front of you. Shortly after I also saw Throwing Muses at Peabody's in VA Beach. Leslie was still with them. @@justineaves1977
