When Rich changed the production of the intro to full groove, he made this song a number #1 hit.

I'd love to here Paiste 2002s being played. I enjoyed your passion and I see my love as you play. It was a dream of mine as a little boy to play as a professional. I'm a great drummer and can play with the best of them, but my mom wanted me to be a biologist so it's what I did. There isn't a day or song that goes by that I don't think of that long blond headed boy playing in all those bands I played in and clubs. But........its the dream that I always haunts me that I could have done it. A dream...A dream... that I wanted but never got to finish. I envy you so much....if only I had it to do over again. Enjoy your love, and playing. Great song and video!!

Really dig your videos man! I am a huge Aldean fan, and I have to say I have never paid much attention to many drummers in bands that I am a fan of, but the energy and style that you put into it is incredible man. I first seen you on the wide open live dvd, which, by the way, was recorded in east tennessee where I'm from. If I ever get a band going, I will have to show your videos to the drummer and say, "See this guy, be this guy". I seen you guys in Knoxville on the burn it down tour and it kicked ass. Hope to see you guys again soon! Keep rockin' brother!

this track is the epitome of extremely fat and soulful drumming. I heard this track over the summer while in Nashville and I was floored by how simple yet effective Rich's drumming is on it. The fact that he chronicled laying it down is very cool indeed. Less is more, folks. Basic snare and kick... lays back where needed and creates a ton of emotion in the process. Awesome- Thanks Rich for enlightening us! Hope to run into you at NAMM Anaheim :-)

Are you listening to a click? What is coming through your monitors?
@runningman51065 жыл бұрын
My guess is he's listening/playing to a 'click' at 1/8note = 163 and likely a mix of himself and the other musicians - cheers

excuse my ignorance but I am confused as to why I hear not only Aldean singing but with harmonies and a slide solo. Wouldn't those things be added AFTER the base track was laid? Was that added later for this video so people could tell easier what they where listening to?
