I hope these become a Netflix series, so that even more people benefit from your wisdom. As it is, I have benefited from it and that of your guests for a couple of years now. I am 4 years sober and went on my first run ever this week, at age 46! Thank you for inspiring me and others to be the best version of ourselves!

One of the best video i've ever come across. i'm going through the darkest phase of my life and its really hard to keep my sanity. Videos like this, especially coming from a person who has been in the darkness, will make all the difference in so many people's lives. Thank you for the video and thank you for being who you are! I can say that you've had a beautiful life, Rich! It takes a lot from a person to transition from who you were 24 years ago to who you are today.

Man, this series is just getting more and more personal - as if it is a conversation b/w Rich and the listener, and it so raw, real and honest. I cried towards the end of the episode too. Thanks, Rich for all that you share in the world.

Hey Rich, some people lead with words, some by example. A rare leader combines these with effect like you have. A decade ago I read your book. Five years ago I became a vegetarian. Six months ago I committed to a plant based lifestyle. 23 days ago I gave up alcohol for good. Today I began therapy. Although you don't know me, you have been with me for each of these steps and for that I am eternally grateful. I hope one day to run a trail with you and share words of thanks, but until then, Rich, thank you for showing me what is possible when you commit to leading a life of purpose, kindness and improvement.

I loved the video, only one critique I would have is the comparison between rehab and a mental institution. Not that it’s so far off in some ways or that it was said with bad intentions. There is plenty of overlap, but it’s really not the same place. In a mental institution there are some people with disabilities who will never “recover” or be“rehabilitated” but that’s not why many of them are there to begin with, they are there just to live as they are. Idk, maybe I’m wrong, I just felt as though that comparison was off somehow. Anyway, quality content for sure.

for many real alcoholics and addicts the 12 steps are a choice for total transformation that leads to quality sobriety. It can be done in days or weeks. And it's a contrary action for sure. In the early days of AA they did the steps in 2 days and had a 75% overall success rate, or close to that.

What do u recommend if I wish change but everytime I seek help or support and hear them talk it just sounds like the same repeated message that everyone else says. And that feels like cheap or microwaved food to me. I dont like the taste or feel of it. 😢 In other words, am hungry for change, but alternative food sounds and tastes bad. 😢
