Here in Sri Lanka we make very simple lemonades by squashing lemons and locally grown oranges together and then adding some water, salt and sugar to it and mixing it well. Later add some little ice cubes and last but not least fresh black pepper and mix it well. Pretty simple but fresh and delicious. Love from Sri Lanka 🇱🇰

Indian Masala Lemonade ( Shikanji), not Nimbu Pani. is a Limade/Limonade and are made of Kaffir Lime ( Kagzi Lembu),not Lemons, It being called a lemonade is a transliteration error. Recipe ( usually/common in India): 1. Juice of 2 to 3 kaffir Lime 2. 1/2 glass of Coconut water or Sugarcane juice ( whatever is most readily available, I've seen people using pineapple/ananas juice) 3. A sprig of Mint ( Pudina) leaves crushed 4. 2 and 1/2tbsp Chat masala ( dehydrated raw mango powder, dehydrated pomegranate seeds, dehydrated amla/Indian gooseberry, dried ginger and black salt) 5. Cinnamon powder 1 tbsp 6. Toasted fennel seed powder 1 tbsp 7. More Black salt ( to taste) 8. Sugar ( to taste) 9. Soda / Sparkling water -> mix and serve with ice in a chilled glass, can be decorated with lemon wedges and mint, and Optional; add overnight soaked chia seeds ( skip this step, absolutely unnecessary).
