I went there in around 1994, lots of stuff was missing but not much graffiti, we got through the ends of the ammo dump chambers and into the old mine as well. We could access all the districts at the time as no doors were blocked of or at least very few. Ricky Flame and Ollie Coppins took me there, thanks lads.

Interesting stuff! Is the old mine still accessible or is that sealed now?

@@ExploringWithin that was a long time ago, access into the mine was through a broken wall at the end of a bay. There was 5 of us and when you switch your torch off it was like no one was there at all, the lime stone kills all sound and sensation. At one point I stepped up about a foot walked along a slab about 20 feet long and 20 feet wide then stepped off again, turned and looked up realising that slab was a section of the roof of the chamber that had fallen . If you were alone and your torch went out there would be no hope, they dig forwards and then into chambers on each side, on and on, piles of rubble, madness would take you before thirst or hunger.

Went today was pretty cool once you get into the narrow bit it’s sooooo long, the sign about cctv and k9s was so obviously not true 😂 couldn’t find the top entrance tho
