Ascending a champ is always personal decision and getting dust is a bit easier. The champs chosen are either going to be ones where debuff damage, ramp up and or could be better with rank and usage with or without liquid courage or double edge masteries.
When I created the ascension guide there are tons more buffs and champions used on offence that do so much damage so ascending them makes more sense.
Ascension is very relevant as a low cost alternative to Rank 3’ing 7 star champs.
Also improving low damage champions depending on masteries or damage output in general.
100+ Champions, I will expand this but takes time to do so will do maybe a mid year update and add more.
What Has Changed or upgraded
Mister Sinister based on his buff is upgraded as his degens will do more damage and his health will be bigger.
Shuri , improves damage overall and also shock debuff damage.
Warlock - with the 7 star versions release you may be interested
Hulk added - damage with fury passive stack lovely, more damage.
Guilly 2099 - moves up but you still need to ramp to 100 combos for more powerful degens
Storm - god tier mutant so she should have been in A last time for her prowess and degen
America Chavez - goes up in tier as she can do lots more damage and on defence very good
Blade - downgraded as he should have been lower, yes he needs it but its not a great idea for coverage.
Corvus - downgraded as a 7 star becomes available its not current meta option as a 6 star nowadays

Dust -
Spider Punk - good ramp up of attack with ascension. As we haven’t seen a huge amount of coverage of usage recently im sure as we learn more about places of use he will go up when I review this next year.

Kushala - good ramp up of attack with ascension.
White Tiger - - good ramp up of attack with ascension.
Ironheart - good ramp up of attack with ascension.
Bullseye - Annoying defender make more annoying with ascension
Serpent - Annoying defender lots of front end damage as a cosmic
Onslaught - Massive damage and massive pain in the rear on defence so no wonder hes up.
Serpent - popular defender as an attacker damage is nice
Guillotine Deathless - Healing and Degen is good but its very specific in interaction where other champs in A can do lots more in various areas.
King Groot Deathless - Healing and incinerate is good but its very specific in interaction where other champs in A can do lots more in various areas.
Maestro is an annoying defender - so beefing him up makes sense to with ascension, also improves his damage at a lower cost.
Werewolf by night - one of my favourite new champs, I have him as 7 star but if I wanted to take the 6 star further improving damage output for offence makes him great for rupture damage increase.

I ascended my 5*R5S200 Omega Red bc I thought it would be a slim chance to get a 6*, much less awaken, and I would never even get a 7*. Fast forward to Omega Days and I now have an awakened 6* as well as a 7 star 🤷🏻‍♂️😂

Angela, even though she is available as a 7 star, is a great ascension option as a 200 sig 6 star. So versatile, hits hard, and is my BGs secret weapon. D rank, no way.

She's my fav champ in this game and she's IMO, a PERFECT candidate to get the ascension......like cgr and Herc are fine at r5 .....Angela getting to r6;makes her hit with the best of them AND comes with arguably the best utility in the game....I have her as a 7 star unduped just staring at me....I want to dupe her so bad....my 6 star is a staple for me (granted she's sig 200)

Agreed. She takes down Shuri, I-Doom, Maw, and a ton of other annoying defenders. I would take my 6* Sig 200 in any content vs a 7* Rank 3 Sig 20.

For me i ascended those champs which are best with sig 200 because max sig 7* is impossible task for now.

Abs indeed! Key member of a synergy team I have ascended.: Titania, Abs and Zemo. I always consider my synergy teams as primary options for ascension

Great analysis as always Rich. When I consider ranking up or ascending, I always consider ( offensively) how they fit into a synergy team I have in my roster , I.e.; Hercules, Panther and Storm king Pin, Sinister and Hood. Domino, Masacre and Red hulk Etc

Just wanted to point out to help others that another really viable option is to ascend champions that are used for Carina Challenges like Stark Spiderman, Dr Octopus, Mojo and so on. I believe the Stark Spiderman needs to be a 5 star so there is an easy ascension choice. Back during the special event a few months ago to get the 6 star champ selector I was able to do it primarily because I was able to ascend crossbones and magneto as 4 stars, so it can be really helpful for challenge content that asks for specific characters. Even right now we have the Iron Fist challenge for spring of sorrow and people are saying Human Torch is good for that one and would be another good ascension choice for all the dust received this month in the side quest.

Why is Ronan even ranked on here? Rank 3 (maybe Rank 4 because of Act 8) is the highest Ronan ever needs to be, and that’s just for the additional health. He’s a “cheese option” champ, and not even meta anymore in Battlegrounds.

I just r2 my 6 star ....I usually use my 5 star (I did ascend that one).....I did the winter of woe dani and aegon with my 5 star....def no need to waste ascension dust o. A 6 star version of him.

i believe there are some champs if you have both 6 and 7* you just rank them up and ascend th 6* no questions asked. I have a 7* onslaught un Awakend and i r5 the 6* and ascended. I did the same with Wiccan, Overseer, if Hulkin becomes a 7* same will happen and Herc of course but we will never see a 7* herc lol
