brody bergstrom :thank you, someone finally said it. They didn't even show how hard it is to march, especially at a very fast, or slow tempo which is sometimes required when performing. This is what people see about marching band, and is also the reason people believe that it is easy.

Note they said CANADA's premier band. Most places in Canada don't have marching band at all, and Calgary is basically the only place where marching band is taken seriously. They might not be as good as American bands, but they're one of the best in Canada.

They call them show bands. In good ole Texas they're called Marching Bands. I'm in the Timber Wolf Marching Band. We won State in 2003 2011 and 2015. We also placed 10th in Grand Nationals in 2010. Currently we placed 4th in Boa (bands of america) Austin.

The fact they managed to make a not just a sound, but an identifiable _pitch_ with brass instruments is impressive. I'm a college-trained musician and I have the hardest time making a basic noise with a trumpet.

You guys must realize, yes this band size is small because it takes nearly 2 thousand dollars to join for each person it's like DCI money! And even worst it includes with many other fees which adding up more than a thousand dollars so you're spending more than 3 thousand dollars for each person

Everyone in here is so fragile when it comes to marching band. Be humble. Understand that these guys are trying it for the first time and they are not hardcore bandos. Chillax and enjoy that the marching activity is getting more publicity. Don't shame them for doing that. Cadets have been marching right foot forever, and he would make a great fit.

It was possibly Stampede Showband since they're an audition only band here in Calgary..Stetson's kind of sucks to be completely honest XD plus their instructors paid the judges so they could win our city's competition last summer :p

Canadian Content Laws required us to play either a Canadian song or a public domain song, it leaves quite a limited selection for parade songs.
