Lori was a very needy Woman. She wanted constant reassurance all the time and it made her pretty useless in an apocalypse. Always trying too hard to hold on to everything and weakening it all in the process. I don't blame her, she had a Son to look out for, but her constant panic made her too unstable to do a proper job, it blinded her and drove her into the arms of the equally unstable Shane (both betas). Whereas Michonne is very consistently strong and cautious in equal measure, you can be safe to be yourself around an energy such as that, and that's exactly what Rick needs to be able to be as strong as he is. It's reassuring to know that your lover isn't in constant danger. It keeps things more spontaneous and less shaky. They make quite the formidable alpha pairing! 💖💖💖💖💖

I loved that they had Rick say 'I love you' first. In my eyes, these two didn't need to say 'I love you' to each other for a very long time because they showed it through their actions. But now that Carl is gone and they're both in such a weird mourning stage, I think he felt the need to say it. Like, 'this is my girl we're talking about it, I was being so thoughtless without her, I wanna let her know she my queen' lolol. It was perfect!
