I truly believed that the fake memory from Rickshank Rickdemption wasn't cannon. A. Bc why would Rick reveal his real and painful backstory to a government agent? B. It was revealed be a fake memory and the classic trope of a dead wife was mostly a gag and a way to make his backstory believable. C. I can see it as a means to tease the audience waiting for the backstory only to have it revealed as fake. But I guess as the seasons progressed the writers either forgot that it wasn't cannon or just simply chose to make it cannon.

I just want to mention the season finale being some random gag episode about a feud with the president was likely intentional trolling; before the episode aired, all we had to go on was the title and synopsis, which made clear that the episode would involve "the president." Since Evil Morty had just been elected President of the Citadel this season, a lot of people were expecting the "President" to be him, so having the season finale revolve around the far less plot relevant Earth President was a meta gag.

Also I really liked the joke at the end, because it doesn't actually undermine the sweetness of the moment since rick suggested that morty went. The action in the pickle rick episode was the fun part for me, seeing the silly premise him surviving his way into a ratbrain powered exosuit and fighting russians was amusingly innovative. Like I really can't say i've ever seen something like that before or since. Also, yea, the final Jaguar fight was badass. Honestly i'd be down for more episodes of rick just being rick, making cool technology in weird environments with absolutely ridiculous premises but taken completely seriously.

I agree with the low placement of "Pickle Rick" 100%. The first time I saw it (same as you, during the official release) I felt it was a very weird turn for Rick & Morty. I didn't know why everyone found this episode so funny and did the whole "LOOOK IM PICKLE RICK BUUUUURRRRPP". I gotta say, it was great advertising, because they probably sold more "pickle rick" shirts during this season then Disney with their Mickey Mouse stuff. Love your vids btw!

I'd say s7 is pretty great too, half of it at least. Ep 4, 5, 6 and 10 (spaghetti, rick prime, tv stones and fear no mort) are REALLY good. Ep 9 and 3 (valhalla and jerrick I'm putting the premises just in case I get the ep numbers wrong and look like a dumbass) are pretty good too. I think. Everything else is pure garbage don't bother.

I think morty is becoming more like rick this season, rick is outwardly hostile but secretly sensitive, morty is almost exclusively seeing that hostility and is being put into situations of extreme stress constantly, so he's genuinely becoming that nihilistic, while rick is just putting up walls, it makes sense it's uncomfortable it's a really dark tone to take but so cool

Season 3 was a mega event. It was the first season I saw “live” I would see it every morning before school. I also remember my frustration as quality fell from ep 1 to 3 Although I like Wong in all seasons

Some people say that season 3 is worse or different than the previous 2, but i don't notice any difference till like 4 i think? I agree with most of your opinions, but i liked the whirly dirly b plot and vindicators 3. I think the main plot of pickle rick is amazing, but the b plot is terrible, especially the ending. I also hated the b plot of the finale, but I heard it was it was originally supposed to be a normal episode that they shoved the clone plot into last minute.

I actualy think this season is good except couple scenes like gore and russian base in pickle Rick, Jerrys scenes outside of imortality episode and Beth character over all. I think this is the worst of Beth and Jerry from all seasons, that's why over all good season look so poorly in a sumary.
