That scene was stupid, for a number of reasons; least of which that it's nearly impossible for a car to lose control the way it did going at that speed if she was in any way a semi-competent driver. The writers destroyed the suspension of disbelief making the entire affair a poorly developed plot device all to put Lori in danger for her to be rescued. For the scene to work she should've been going much faster but even that mechanism fails once you realize she doesn't know where she's going; having to rely on a map so there would be no need for her to be going that fast.

Great reaction. WOW a chaotic scene this Episode 8. Hershel Greene orders Rick's group to leave, Maggie slaps Shane around the face telling Shane to leave her daddy alone and telling him "haven't you done enough" and reiterating they had no idea Sophia was in that barn. Poor Rick and the group try and restore order, whilst the others bury loved ones, Beth falls into shock, whilst Hershel disappears and Dale is not impressed with Shane looking at him like he's a psycho. The bar scene: Hershel returns to his old habit, the bottle🍾🥃 to drown his sorrows at an old bar in town. Then Dave & Tony appear. It was crystal clear to Rick these men wanted to hijack the farm, but what was disturbing was the way Tony was asking if our group had any women there. He was probably a r4pist hence his comment "haven't had a piece of 4ss in weeks", then he got angry when Rick told him to calm down which he didnt like and responded negatively and aggressively to and showed he was willing to kill the three of them and take over their farm showing greed and a murderous spirit. As soon as Dave jumped over the bar, look how Rick's head turns slightly to his right and his eyes follow simultaneously because he heard that click off Tony's gun, so Rick was ready with his hand on the trigger so when Dave lifts his head up behind the bar he's trying to bluff Rick that he was just reaching for a bottke of whisky to pour, BUT Rick knew what time it was and this is where his police training kicks in, Rick rebuffed his inquiry of the farm once again before Tony gave away what was obviously an ambush. As Dave went for his P228, Rick whipped out his .357 Colt Python revolver and shot him in the head, killing him instantly before doing the same to Tony. He probably had to choose Dave first being the quicker to draw of the two with a handgun and stood behind the bar for protection, because it would take Tony longer to lift up a shotgun, get it into position, aim then fire. It makes you wonder if they've done this distraction tactic before with Tony peeing in the corner then he stands behind their soon to be victim and Dave is in front so the victim is sandwiched between the two, but I think Glenn was nervous you could see he felt something was about to go down the way he looked around and read the room then looked at Rick - BRILLIANT scene! As for Lori, who the heck told her (as Jamaican's would say) to goh faas herself an goh look fi Rick like him is one baby? Now look at the mess she's put her pregnant self in.🤷🏽‍♀️

Hershel needed too, and saw more of everything... Hershel just saw rhe real world! Hershel also saw the real Rick! He realized how lucky he is, who Rick really is!!! Yes, he can and will do this....if Rick was evil why is Hershel his family still alive? Shane was one step short of what was needed from a leader in that situation. He was 100% right in that wasting resources, time and even risking lives of people like Daryl was the wrong thing to do when Sophia was just locked away in the back of a barn dead but when it came down to it he hesitated. He couldn't make the decision to be the one to end her "life" and so Rick did.

Rick’s police training definitely showed here He recognized very quickly that Tony was looking to Dave for signals on what to do indicating that they have a system in place and have done this little game before When Tony walks over to take a piss That was clearly getting himself into a strategical position Then Dave also got up and positioned himself directly on the other side of Rick putting him directly between the 2 At that moment Rick went into prepared mode and was ready to draw at a split seconds notice Tony and Dave had sized up the 3 of them and assessed Rick as the only real threat they knew if they took him out the other 2 would not put up a fight But again Rick saw that and stayed ready even after Dave tried to lure him into a false sense of security by putting his gun on the bar When he lunged for it Rick fired a shot before Dave was even able to raise the gun Then just as impressively was able to be calm and cool enough to keep in the back of his head exactly where the other guy Tony was to turn completely around and shoot him multiple times before he could even react to his Friend being taken out. Absolute moment of badassery from Rick Now Hershel has a reason to let Rick stay He made it clear that he can read people and situations with deadly accuracy and that he will help keep Hershel’s family safe from the threat that is just as dangerous if not more so than Walkers.

Not saying there aren't way better scenes in the others, but this season just had everything, character development, conflict which you don't know what side to pick, and some of Shanes scenes is some of the best acting in this entire show.

Shane going off on Dale is a sign of his deteriorating character. He feels guilt and shame somewhere but he can’t process it so he lashes out at people around him trying to find fault with them. It’s crazy watching him from season 1 to now. I mean; he was always sort of an asshole, but he had his humanity. I think he’s doing the opposite of evolving. I’m not gonna spoil, but you see some cases later on in the show, and I think if Shane continued on the way he is now he would have become like that. He didn’t know how to balance humanity with survival, it was just all or nothing, and that leaves a shell of something that used to be human.

Fun Fact the home used for filming the show in this Season is from a very religious older couple that was very apprehensive about letting AMC film here They ultimately allowed it and they established two major rules No walkers on the property and no cussing inside the house This is why you see so few walkers on the actual farm in the season And the owners also refused to allow the home to be used in any fan tours I believe they sold it later on.

What I love about Rick is that he never makes rash decisions. He gave those men a way out and they never took it. He knew that asshole was going for a gun to kill them and the way he whipped out his colt and shot him in the head was so good.

I don’t think people in the group more aligned with Shane (other than Andrea). I think it’s what Dale said after, the walkers should have been taken care of but causing a panic was the wrong move. If they went at it more diplomatic the group would have felt safer and they would have had the barn longer.

Last 2 episodes were big for the group especially hershel, alot of had truths and lessons for hershel biggest being is that theres no cure and there already dead plus rick and the group dont discriminate when it comes to walkers Sophia got just like the others in the barn (I get them being shocked they where literally still looking for a living person). And in this ep hershel seen there are bad ppl out there and he has 2 daughters and amazing real estate, and rick will protect what's his by all means. Guys rick would be a lot closer to shane mentally if he was getting his family out of te initial outbreak lie shane had to we are following through Rick's eyes, so we see it 3 months in, 3 mounths of anarchy but rick has only joined the game and hes a cop (seems like a good 1 lol) so yeh dont be too harsh on shane look the guys fucked yeh but women will do that 🤣🤣🤣🤙👍 great reaction guys big up👊🤙
