Like a lot of musicians he was about that life. Sex drugs and music. I think it’s a shame people overlook what he did musically just because of what they’ve seen on Chappelle’s show. Don’t get me wrong it was hilarious, I cried of laughter when I saw it. But fr put some respect on Rick. He was an insanely hard working and talented musician who also did a lot of serious work. He shouldn’t just be remembered for grindin his dirty ass boots on Eddie Murphy’s couch😂

Rick is truly a legend. I mean like MJ,Elvis, etc... Rick is an underdog and does not get credit from the music industry. Its clearly obvious because he has not been elected in the Rock&Roll HOF and just mentioning it really pisses me off. Rick is more than Mary Jane, Give it to me baby and Super freak. Notice those are only hit singles. I have played Rick on multiple occasions for the people of today and they only knew the obvious. But the songs other than the obvious hits, they did not know the songs like Hollywood, Ebony eyes. Rick is more than chappelles skit Rick James bitch. This guy produced Mary Jane girls and founded the talented teena Marie(rip). At one point anything Rick touched was gold. He is known for the bad and not the good. Rick James is a success, his life growing up in a ghetto having not much to a one of a kind musician in Hollywood California, having it all. Rick Deserves best not this....
