I’m American Airlines I’m 58 years old. I feel like I look great for my age. There’s a lot of flight attendants @ American Airlines I get it. Some of them don’t take . Pride , just keep this in mind. We’re all gonna grow old. American Airlines is being treated like shit by upper management. We haven’t had a new contract for over 10 years. Imagine working for a company for 29 years and not getting a raise the last 10 years you need to know more about our job.

We just flew on AA they are horrible they screwed our vacay up by changing our departure time by 5 hrs we would of missed our connection in Miami so we had to change dates by two days. Some people can't do that due to work schedule and apparently it was Bec they didn't have crew. They did even give a thing in return. Just I am sorry. Never liked AA.

Don’t give up. I had a home delivery and the young courier was so chatty on my doorstep. I had to cut the conversation subtly saying I’m sure you have other deliveries … he said “no” this is my last. Anyhoo after a few more mins I said, “ok, I better get going …”. At the lift (elevator) he shouted, “you’re gorgeous!” I said, “thank you”. When I closed the door and thought … was he chatting me up⁉️ 🤔 I’m 56 and I’m sure I was old enough to be his grandma 😂

I think a lot of factors go into the flight attendant topic but I wonder if the “more attractive” flight attendants are nicer because they feel better about themselves? I know for myself, when I’ve gained weight, I’m more insecure and feel more grumpy and ornery. And when I’ve lost weight I feel good about myself and happier.

Yes, in the 80s there was fear of child kidnappings. I was terrified as a young mom, and really protected my boys. You had to instruct them how to be careful too.

Also, the weight of heavy cargo is the biggest concern for pilots lol. A 120lb flight attendant vs a 220lb flight attendant is peanuts compared to the huge freights they’ll carry in the hold.

I have flown Scandinavian Airlines since I was 6 months old when my Mother took me to Khartoum Sudan where my Armenian grandparents lived. Anyway she left my Dad for 2 years cause he couldn’t keep it in his pants. That’s another story! But SAS used to be creme de la creme of Airlines. Last time I went to Sweden I noticed that they don’t have the same luxury service. First class used to have a chef 🧑‍🍳 come through first class and serve. But not anymore . Very disappointed in SAS because I had a special place in my heart for them since my Mother worked for them for years ❤

I would add, for context, since the beginning of commercial flying stewardesses are NOT and have NEVER been "customer service agents." They are primarily safety providers, facilitate boarding, deplaning, and often work 12-16/hour days. This ain’t the 60s, when stewardesses worked one-to-two flights daily and stayed in nice hotels and were uniformed by expensive clothiers lol
