so clever how they planted seeds for later stuff in this episode. the payoffs in later episodes are amazing. i love the episodes that stand alone and have nothing to do with the overall story, like the interdimensional cable ones. but these ones where they lay down rick and morty lore are just genius. love both types of episodes for different reasons.

Actually, in an infinite amount of universes, even if we assume that Morty is a moron and Rick is the genius, it’s very possible that their intelligence would be switched in one of those universes. That’s how the multi-verse works.

@@casinodertoten721 Don't think that follows. Every possibility is played-out in an infinite multiverse, but that doesn't say anything about relative probabilities. On the other hand, infinity weirds math. A tenth of infinity is equal to a hundredth (due to infinity being irreducible), so, in that sense, I suppose you're correct?

In the comics, Jerry is reunited with Doofus Rick. That story is SO good, I keep hoping that one day it will be animated as an episode or two. (A two-parter would be better.) I do have a favorite episode of R&M but it's still a long way off. Of course, Doofus Rick doesn't eat his own shit, literally. His genius is with food. The other Ricks would say that's his bag or his shit. And because they're nasty they twist it into a nasty joke.

But then remember that they were celebrating the 1 year anniversary of Rick coming back into their lives. So the question for future seasons is which Morty was that baby?

This is one of my favorite episodes, because it outlines Rick's philosophy on science and efficiency. Later on when we see his car battery, people keep suggesting ways that he could generate way more power without needing a planet of people, but that's just it, it would be way more power than he needs. Rick is about efficiency not barbaric overkill.

I think the point is that the smartest Mortys would be smarter than the dumbest Ricks. That's why that particular Morty is capable of controlling a Rick. But I agree that Rick lets on to Morty that he's a lot dumber than he is. I think it's a manipulation tactic. If you can convince someone that they're too stupid to get by without you, you can more easily control them.

love your reactions to Rick and Morty! My favorite Episodes are: S1: 1 pilot, 6 rick potion #9, 10 rick-counter, S2: 1,2,3,5 S3: 1,3,7,8,9... But the absolute best episode is *3x7 Ricklantis Mixup"! A powerful episode. feels like an hour, because so much happens. All over a brilliant episode. Lots of social commentary, a great speech, plot twist, and epic dialogue and one liners. One of the best in animated history. Another great adult animation series is "Bojack Horseman", it's full of dark and absurd comedy, deeply human, moral and philosophical moments, brilliant dialogue and one liners, and THE BEST depiction of depression and mental health issues in television history. It starts okay, but grows constantly, climaxing in the greatest episodes in adult animation imho. But it takes a toll on you, in a good way. Many have said it has helped them to overcome bad moments in their lives, others have said it felt like they've learned live lessons from it. I approve of that sentiment. I bet in 50 years, no one is going to talk about most of these series, but they will definitely will talk about Rick and Morty and Bojack Horseman. Both already have cult status. Since there is no actual canon in the show, I can’t really tell you anything official about evil Morty (yes that’s how we refer to him). However, there are lots of fan theories about that.

That’s why they trolled the audience during the magical train episode (if you remember that). They put both random stuff, fan service and Rick explicitly says “None of this is canon”.

Kazzy, this is a very important episode. It has far reaching results, and is, in my opinion, the driving story behind the show outside of Rick and Morty having adventures. It will take a while to see the end results, but stick it out. It's worth it.

If you have ever watched Futurama then I think Morty and Philip J Fry have something in common about their grandfather. If you know what I am talking about... Ya... Also to be clear this is a Siri I cooked up based on things that I've seen in the backgrounds of episodes and little hints at it but it could just be jokes in the background that are just jokes and I'm taking it way too seriously.

Eh, Season 3x07 and 1x06 are my favorites. I guess with the latest finale that's my 3rd (or maybe Morty's Mindblowers, which was comedy gold). I honestly never really liked the interdimensional cable episodes, the random humor never interested me. However I will agree, Total Rickall is an amazing episode and a top contender for me.
