Still am heartbroken. New Year's Eve and day have never been the same. This was a terrific band. I loved Ricky since he was a little kid so I kind of grew up with him and had a crush on him as so many did. It being so close to Mother's day every year you don't forget it. I wish. Ricky never got on that plane. Uncharactoristically, I hope he was stoned out of his mind and did not see death coming and had limited suffering and anxiety. It is of course compounded for those of us that have a mom's birthday or death day at that time. We grew up with the Nelson family, so it's like a death in your own family. There's going to be one heck of a band when we go to heaven. I am forever grateful Randy was not on that plane.
