Even the teachings of Jesus the idol is another form of that same doctrine by this you have also stumbled and it is the reason behind you not having true conversion. Nicolaitian PARENTS: we haven’t left our first love, are strong defenders of Christ, but compromise with our college age kids😳. We realize our early child rearing lacked a STRONG FOUNDATION in JESUS and now the kids are grown, off at college where their Godless friends, professors have taken hold. Parental relationships start to fall apart now that they are studying biblically more and the kids are rejecting it. Parents start to compromise thinking they”ll salvage the relationship and God will bring them back to him. I don’t want JESUS to hate my deeds. I’m stopping the compromise TODAY! Thank you🙏🎚

Revelations 2:6 it clearly reads... That thou hatest the Deeds of the Nicolaitans which I also hate. does that not say he hates the deeds and hates the Nicolaitans. I mean I got to look up the Hebrew version I guess try to get the original translation. Does my Latin language not read clearly. say right after he says Nicolaitans he then says I also hate

Interesting video. Being a student of the scriptures for over 50 years. Most teachers including this one is that miss the mark on some points of scripture. For example he used the term eternal punishment. The word eternal was translated wrongly from the greek word aiónios which means age which is a definite period of time. Most people including people who think they are believers will be at the White Throne" judgment and the lake of fire is God himself will make all things new. Also he also mentioned going to Heaven. (John 3:13 KJV) And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven. In the end we will not go to heaven it comes to earth after it is remade. (Revelation 21:1 KJV) And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea. (Revelation 21:2 KJV) And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.

The Nicolaitions had dared to insinuate that freedom in Christ granted them a blank check to sin. The fault of believers in Pergamum was not so much that they had followed this pernicious teaching but that they had allowed it to be vocalized in the congregation. The philosophy of the Nicolaitions WAS lacking legal or moral restraints. especially : disregarding sexual restraints. licentious behavior. licentious revelers -- marked by disregard for strict rules of correctness. The philosophy of the Nicolaitions should NOT be conflated with Aristotle's Nicomachean Ethics. According to Aristotle's Nicomachean ethical theory, the virtuous person exhibits the joint excellence of reason and of character when they engage in Nicomachean Ethics. Aristotle's Nicomachean Ethics should not be conflated with the philosophy of the Nicolaitans. THESE ARE NOT THE SAME PHILOSOPHY.

The doctrine and practices of Balaam are one of the things listed; the doctrine and practices of the Nicolatians was the next thing listed. They were not the same. The former is being described as the latter, but the clergy/laity split of the Nicolatians was a foundational support that allowed and fostered the doctrines and practices of the Balaamites.

No. "Once saved, always saved" is not a license to sin (and quite frankly, why would you want to if you're saved), but it does mean we can never lose our salvation. What Nicolaitanism really is, it's a heresy that promotes a form of anarchy by saying "you're saved, so do as thou wilt shall be the whole of the law". I doubt most Nicolaitans were even saved to begin with. Perhaps a minority, but they more than likely all left.
