About Kevin Tate: I have not spoken to him in a while. The last time I saw him, I had him over at a school to get an interview with Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. We met with Kareem and spoke to him for about ten minutes off camera, but his publicist would not allow us to interview him on camera. After we recorded it, I shelved it because Ross was talking crazy and it would have been just another "Ross the Boss bully-style" interview. Months passed by before this interview was published. Beef still there, but still underground. Shortly after its publication, 50 launched his public attack on Ross. I wonder why? I published it right after the Smoking Gun Report on Ross being a corrections officer.

Thanks for your input. Tate could have been more assertive in getting a straight answer from Ross much like Big Boi Power 106 did in a recent interview with Ross. Ross reluctantly confessed to being a corrections officer, but that was long after many other interviews and after the 50 Cent beef became widely public and there was pressure on Ross to come correct. Technically, I was operating the cameras. I produced the video. DEF JAM allowed us to be there. There were three other artist there that we interviewed. The fact is that you must not get hostile with a celebrity talent because you can risk the possibility of never coming back for future interviews. Keep in mind that Ross' image is supposed to be a bad guy. So he acted out to make that point clear, and I think he did it without much thought; and he came off sounding wack.

While it is not a good journalism practice to allow a verbal lashing from a celebrity, it is professionalism not to get bent out of shape when some one goes off like Robert's did.
