Great video! It’s a reminder to me to work on my singles with an emphasis on finger control.

Thanks for the NARD videos! This takes me back to my drum corp days in the late 60s in PA. Yes, I'm old! I remember the snare line practicing on a long practice pad in front of a mirror to develop level sticking height down the line. Did you march drum corp?

All the years I've been playing, I never picked up this book. I went through the Wilcoxon 150 solos & rudimental swing solos but not this.. I'm enjoying it a lot and thanks for playing these solos. I'm thinking of doing some videos on these solos also but they don't seem to attract a lot of views. In my book, the last measure of this solo shows doubles RRLLRRLLR. Obviously you can play it either way...

Hi Joe You must have the new version. The original does not have those stickings. As far as views go I am not really doing it for that. I am putting them up there for my students. Thanks Rick

@@rickdior I see..That was basically the reason I started my channel years ago, for my students. Thanks for putting out some very useful information. I'm sure it inspires many drummers including myself!

I find that drumming like this requires such restraint and control. I tend to overplay and become impatient with the control necessary to implement singles incorporated with doubles and/or flams. My mind works in a wondrous way at times. LoL
