I’m a McLaren fan and as much as I love Lando, I’m slowly loosing my mind. Oscar’s actually saving me right now. After this video, I noticed one thing. Oscar from Zandvoort is matching against a really unexpected enemy: FERRARI STRATEGY. In the Netherlands, Oscar lost a certain podium (and why not, an easy P2) because of a wild double undercut of Charles and and a huge defense of Charles on Oscar climbing up the grid. In Monza, Oscar made all perfect (here in Italy I think we would never stop thanking Oscar because of THAT overtake on Norris, where Charles was great at taking advantage of Norris and overtaking him), but Ferrari decided to go on the one-stop strategy with both drivers and Charles won. I hope in Baku things would go better for Oscar. And BTW, great video from an Italian dude!

I really did not care for F1 until my sister started watching DTS and I got into it during the same time as well around the mid 2023 season and I still did not feel such affinity towards the sport yet. That is until I saw Oscar Jack Piastri Leclerc for the first time in DTS 2022 making an absolute clown out of Alpine and i was hooked. Baby Pastry is the reason I'm such a fan of F1 now and I just felt the guy was great, had amazing character and tenacity to be a future world champion. So yeah it was chance, my sister and Oscar that got me into Formula 1....dare I say it was a pleasantly baked INCHIDENT!!! Thanks Rick for such a great intro to the community I love your videos.

every single driver makes and has made mistakes inside and outside the car. but with lando, people shit themselves over the smallest things for no good reason! with the cooldown room situation with lewis as well its not that deep. lewis himself said its not something he’s upset about because he was the exact same way after a race like that at the beginning of his career. stuff like that makes f1 so exhausting to watch, not the races itself but the amount entitlement and lack of empathy for the people involved in the sport

In defence of McLaren, it's like the car's ready for a title fight before the team are. Remember, they've effectively been having to relearn how to operate like a front-running team again; it's been over a decade since the last time they've consistently been in that position, and there is a difference between having a mindset of expecting to win and that of scrapping for consistent points in the brutality that is the midfield. They're not the complete package yet. That said, they arguably should've won more than they have this season. Oscar's been brilliant though. He's so deadpan and unflappable on the team radio, it's mad. And he's a funny guy to boot.
