Great charity! My 6 year old son was diagnosed with Leukemia (T-cell). It’s every bit as much of a nightmare as you’d imagine. What most people don’t realize is that even if you’re child achieves remission, which thank God my son was able to do, treatment is still very long and grueling. His treatment plan is 3.5 years long. Thats 3.5 years of stomachs aches and vomiting from the chemo, hospital visits, emergencies and medical bills. We are about half way there, but regardless of how bad things get, I know that we are one of the lucky ones because he’s in remission!

There could be some great golfers who are trying to grow their channel who can hang with some of the bigger guys, who maybe don’t have subscribers yet. it could be great for their channel. It would be a shame for it to only the biggest getting bigger. Could be a great chance to Create opportunities for others to grow.

I love the break 75... birdie sauce or not. I think the realism of what you experience (and don't forget you're playing Pro courses!) is what gets me watching. You filming of the episodes has gone up 100% and it's like being there and enjoying the round. The special guests are great but honestly just you and the regular crew are just as great. But, you have done some variations with paying out cash which were great too. Couldn't get interested in the Good Good stuff though but luckily there aren't many of those lately. Regarding FaceBook a lot of people stopped using that years ago as it's not worth the head ache. I can engage here just fine and love the channels.

RICK - Hope you read this KZbin Masters IDEA ! --- Have the KZbin golfer submit a video on their channel called something like YT Masters - Monday qualifier - My score: 72. Each golfer then posts the video on a Monday, with that title, and in the description box lists the completed requirements ( Like number of followers, Hdcp, etc.) You can then easily search for said videos and check yep its a golf channel and read the title and score, then sort the videos by score. At this point you make cuts. Then have a video announcing the golfers that made the cut and maybe a recap video of some of the best shots from those KZbinrs video. This would give the smaller channels like Kennie Kat Golf a chance at getting a boost submitting a video for the event and making the trip to play in the YT Masters. Your viewers then can search for that title as well and watch all the rounds !!!

I like the discussion about putting practice under pressure. Top tip - I always practice putting before leaving the driving range. I have to sink 10 putts from six feet. I start the putting practice at the time I have told my wife I will arrive home. So if it takes me ages to complete the drill, I end up in trouble with the boss. More pressure than any putt to win a major…..
@BenHutchinson92
@BenHutchinson92 Жыл бұрын
lol surely that's awful practice, simply because you are then putting under time constraints rather than pressure, you are more likely to rush the read/pre-shot routine and thus if you make a putt it could actually be due to luck rather than good practice. We can't mix up pressure with time constraints. They are vastly different and have vastly different effects on our thought processing and actions under a set of circumstances.

Unfortunately it would have to be a summer thing as the course does shockingly during winter months.

DONT do away with Break 75! I understand that golf is hard and that Rick has not made that goal of 75 in a while but that is what keeps me coming back to watch your videos. The struggle, the grind and remembering form and tempo and to see a Pro, yes a Pro since you are a certified golf instructor from your early day vids, to go through what your going through. I started golf 2 years ago, I call them golf season because I live in US and in the State of North Dakota where there is snow 6 months out of the year and I live 100 miles away from any indoor facility to practice. I like seeing you struggle but also and most importantly keep the grind going. Finally, my personal advice when playing, take your golf swing back or slow it down, so what if your not hitting 270+ yards, build your confidence back up...oh by the way that advice came from you in your early videos!

Guy and the gang seem to handle the Rick Shiels ship very well. (Watch out for those Sharks) I would hope if this Golf KZbin Master's, is also a charitable event? That past grudges and differences can be put aside for the bigger picture of charity as well as entertainment for us the viewers. I also believe, if invited, the KZbinr MrShortGame. Would probably challenge hard for the victory. I would certainly hope that some of the biggest names in KZbin would be representative whether it's mostly UK, Europe, and a little bit of the US. Either way it would be an awesome time to view on KZbin or even be in attendance. Good luck to all.

Small addition to the YT Masters, have a legit top tier pro sometime just before the event shoot the course and sort of set the mark. Like how far off is the best of YT to the top tier of golfer.

Topbloke needs to be invited to the KZbin Masters, his commentary about KZbin golf vloggers is solid and he tells it like it is. Topbloke would provide honest commentary about this event.

You gotta invite Jon and Ash from StackedGolf. Jon seems to be a pretty good golfer... If this gets Live Streamed...I'm glued to the screen

I was at the Valspar tournament, let me tell you the last four holes were crazy. I can’t believe he hit the water and then his partner pulled out the iron and hit the water back.

Not sure whether it would work, but a host format would be really cool. Something like each year a different channel is the host, and the tournament is held at their choice of course. For example, Year 1 Rick is the host at JCB, Year 2 Good Good hosts at Purcell Farms, etc. Might be a cool way to determine where the event is held each year.

My understanding is that a Texas Scramble is something different than a regular scramble. I believe that in a Texas scramble you both hit drives and take the best one, but from the best drive you play your own ball in.

Is that not a champagne scramble. A texas scramble is where you play the best ball every time

I remember commenting on something similar on various You Tuber golf channels when the subject of PGA / DP / LIV dydnamics and rivalries has been mentioned. There are many of us who are actually far more invested and interested in the You Tube community and content makers such as yourself than most of the faceless personalitless and money orientated pros. I grew up watching A Round with Aliss, pro-am tournaments, World Match play and golf on the BBC however I barely get the opportunity to watch any golf as pay per view has swallowed it all up over the last decades. We are lucky if we even get a few late night snippets and highlights (after the result is already known) and it makes it virtually impossible to encourage the next generation to take up the sport and be excited if there is zero content. When I was younger I would be watching the Open and Masters (in much lower resolution than now) and then be out in the garden the next day putting through the diasies imagining I had "one for the trophy". Thank God for You Tube as even an old duffer like me actually consumes more golf than I ever did in those halcyon days and guess what it is more relevant as we see formats we play at the club level. We see 'real' people and get a connection as they talk to the camera and us as consumers of their products and they often listen to what we want to see. I just hope that plenty of us get to be engaged in his endevour either through You Tube (free please) or be able to attend in person. Just think what this could become and involve Joe Public is some pr-am scrambles or let us caddy for you !
