I like the glaze over the back masked trees! I think I’ll try and adapt this to a reference I'll look for, see if I can be more independent. I've gained a tiny bit more confidence ( I think)

Excellent video and now I'm off to try my hand at it! I am interested in purchasing the empty applicator bottles. Do you clean the tip after each use? And how long does masking fluid last in one of these bottles if you self pour? Thank you for all the incredible information you share!
@RickSurowiczWatercolor4 жыл бұрын
I don't clean the tip after each use. I do my best to cap it and keep it from drying out. If it does clog, I have several extra tips and they are very inexpensive. The masking fluid will last for quite some time. I don't believe it's impacted by the transfer to a small bottle.

I thought I heard you mention what kind of tape you used to hold down the card, but I can’t find it. Is it scotch tape? No tape is listed on your material list for borders. I have had trouble finding a tape for holding down cheaper paper, such as ready made water color cards. The tape always seems to pull off some paper with it. Thank you again for another great demo.

I have used the same small tip for masking fluid. But then it gets clogged up. What do you suggest to open up the clogged tips.
@RickSurowiczWatercolor4 жыл бұрын
There is no question they are hard to clean when they become clogged. A very thin wire is about all that fits inside the tip. I do my best to cap them anytime I pause to keep them from drying. Anytime there is build up around the end, I remove it. Because the bottles I use are very reasonably priced and come with several extra tips, I generally replace them if they don't clear after trying.
