Solid walk through! Versed in Digico but glad how accessible Ricky's descriptions are.

Just a question, would Cymbals group return not going to good comp/bad comp and going straight to Drum Master - would there be less of a delay compared to the rest of the drums going through good comp/bad comp, If a delay difference would you be able to compensate/adjust maybe through another uneffected stereo group, thanks, curious, great video btw and yes if you wondered, I have watched it twice now and loving it!

Hey there, from what I can see, the paths would be Drum -> Good/Bad Cop -> Drum Group and Cymbal -> Cymbal Group -> Drum Group. So the same amount of buses should yield the same latency. Bus latency is 14 samples, so if you sent the cymbals directly to the drum group, adding 14 samples to the cymbal inputs would correct that latency difference.

@@FunktionNada yup, but to the point - @David Hamnet is right. For example, Kick has 4 points of patch (Kick In - Kick Group - GoodBad comps - Drum Master), but Cymbals has 3 (Ride cymbal - Cymbal Buss - Drum Master) >> so, one point of bus latency less ... but yeah, input delay to compensate that buss loss, and all is good

@@thebuzgehow do you know this delay?
@thebuzgeАй бұрын
@@dashmagic6211 there is a info somewhere on the web, I think it is maybe around 14samples per buss patch (ie. channel that goes thru 3 subgroups is 3x14samples late than the signal that goes straight to LR buss)
