I doubt Ricky will see this but if you do please can you donate something to Second Chance Fox Rescue And Rehabilitation who are trying to raise funds to buy a van for transportation of the Foxes they rescue, rehabilitate and then release back into the wild. Thank You.

Why comedians get stick for saying horrible things ironically vs a politician saying things sincerely... maybe because people feel helpless to react to powerful people in government whereas a comedian, since they are "just" pop cultural figures are can be "used" like any other product. People respond to celebrities who annoy them the same way they react when their iphone or TV acts up or does something unexpected, usually violently. The audience takes in their celebrities just as they take in any consumer product and they expect it to "behave" because they've invested time and/or money.
