I was nothing short of amazed when he isolated the clubs with his prestige level of fluidity. The mind could not comprehend what theses eyes of mine had just laid whiteness to. As the camera pans up to a expressionless face that just revealed a deck of cards spread out on the table in suited order. I was left struck with chills of inspiration running through my body. One day I hope to possess just a fraction of the skill and talent that this man is teaming with. I have long road ahead of me to even begin to scratch the surface. Regardless I look forward to every step I'm about to take... #RESPECT #THANKYOU

Thank you so much for the upload! I lost my original "broadcast copy" of this to a bad housemate who taped over this! It should be realised that it is filmed in one take with, perhaps, two cameras. The cut from close up to mid shot is not an edit as such. Watch the slow zoom in/out.

Of course, it's not how he did it that is amazing (others have done similar routines and the moves are pretty well known). It's that he does it so well.

Ricky Jay is exactly what I consider to be the best. I love Al Flosso as far as patter, but Ricky Jay when he just turns that stare on... The only reason we never heard more accolades from his peers was because he was mildly abrasive. But I get that...

The riffles and cuts are 100% control. Just look at the fan afterwards. If they don't wash, they control. That simple. Impressive control to be sure. But still control.

@faraway76964 жыл бұрын
@John Link: search for RICKY JAY REVEALED on youtube. A guy explains all the moves EXCEPT the first 30 seconds (multiple shuffels). Shuffeling - cut - rest of the card trick. After the cut, the deck must be in order again (unshuffeled). So up to now, I think it IS a cheat because IF the first 30 seconds are real shuffeling, then the trick wouldn‘t work. (-> Cards have been replaced with an unshuffeld deck). If he managed to „fake shuffel“ the first 30 seconds then I don‘t know how he does that part.
@diegomunoz55373 жыл бұрын
@@faraway7696 Those riffle shuffles at the beginning look very fair indeed. There are ways, of course, to do false table riffle shuffles retaining the entire order, but in this case not only you would have to do that, but at the same time, considering the standard new deck order, reverse the spades and the diamonds and put them on top, and move the hearts to the bottom, and that is just not possible. So, yes, a deck switch and a camera cut seem like an honest guess. Nevertheless, the Master's card manipulation from that moment on is impecable
