This is going to get lost in the comments but this song was something special to me. It’s got a lot of emotional stuff associated with it, and a certain person that I’ve been trying to get over for a long long time. This person shared Ricky Montgomery with me because of the way it’s attached to him; it was his brothers favourite music artist before his brother passed away. We connected over this song, and over the course of the 6 years we’d known one another, we went across the journey of love and the journey that was once admiration. Unfortunately, it ended poorly, with me and him arguing and it getting to the point where the relationship was going nowhere. We broke up a couple of weeks ago again, and I really wish I could have left it better than I did. We’d been partners and known each other for so long, knowing one another for almost 6 years, dating for a large portion of those years. I honestly miss them so much and seeing this pop up in my subscriptions kinda just made me cry. I miss them so much, I wish I could have left it better than I did, I wish I could have been a better man to them, I wish I could have done better and treated them better. I made my mistakes, I tried my best, and I was not enough. I’m sorry I was not enough Tommy. If there was a way to make it up to you, I would. I still love you, and it’s gonna suck that we’re going to be apart tomorrow but just know that I’ve been working on myself. I’m a better person now and that I really wish that we could maybe work it out again sometime. Not now, maybe a couple of weeks or months when you’ve had some time to think and process some things.
