There's an awesome country station near where I live in Rogue River Oregon who plays a ton of bluegrass. Many times they don't back announce who they just played. I've discovered that about 4 out of 5 times that a song catches my attention and I don't know who it is, it winds up being Ricky Skaggs.... He's absolutely awesome!

If you ever get the chance, sacrifice the time and money to go see Ricky Skaggs and Kentucky Thunder in concert. You won't regret it and it's been much more than worth it every time I've seen them!

Oh! Can you tell me the call letters of that station? Maybe I can stream it here.

@@lancekoz KRRM.... They used to say the 'Cream' of country AND western swing... An original owner passed away and the spouse sold the station. It's become 'modern' these days and a mere shell of what it was 4 years ago....

Vassar Clements. So much of all of this came from him. He even played with Jerry Garcia & Co. Brought bluegrass to many new hearts & minds. This is a beauty! Thank you for uploading it (-:

I love Bluegrass. But all you talking about dubstep look up violinist Lindsey Stirling "Crystalize" or "Elements". Then look @ some of her other stuff. "Phantom of the Opera" is cool.

ok i give up . What the heck is this dubstep you folks are all talking about here?? Ive listened to bluegrass for years but im not familiar that term. Someone enlighten me please

Dubstep is noise.
@Kocher3722 жыл бұрын
Imagine someone picking a 2 second bit of a song and playing it in a repeated fashion that it sounds like they're stuttering, that + dog shit and space noise. It's junk and I have no idea why anyone is even mentioned dubstep in the midst of Ricky Skaggs. That how you end up with little Luke Bryan's and Sam Hunts running around.
@MrGonzosGoat12 жыл бұрын
they should totally do a dubstep remix of this song that would be sick.... :)

Umar Khan Ask any Caribbean, they will tell you this is a sleng teng. It's a fundamental riddim (rhythm and reel) in Jamaican dancehall and Panamanian reggaeton, which were teenage parents to Dubstep. But Bluegrass, and her Caribbean sisters Mento and Konpa are the Root.

This is Dubstep??? More sounds like a Hip Hop beat, but no lyrics.

Really Dubstep?! isn't there a enough Dubstep what i hear in this is a good ole up right base. if someone puts Dubstep to bluegrass they have got some Problems instead if you want to spice up Classical Put some Dubstep in that . leave bluegrass alone

This was before Ricky let his hair grow...wonder if he thought the long hair would make the music sound better...hope he goes back to looking like a man again...

As a professional musician, he certainly not thought so... what a fragile concept of masculinity people have!

I saw Ricky Skaggs perform with his long hair a few months ago and it was the best concert I've ever seen. Just stop with the pointless judgment.

Stupid comment man all the great warriors and leaders had long hair. Shoot the Lord himself probably had long hair. Short hair is a sign of slavery and control brother.

HaHa! Love his music! His hair. What! Lol. Doesn't matter to me if it's uncle fester style, or cousin it!
