So refreshing to hear a professional athlete speak intelligently and have philosophical awareness about the world around him and have it be important to him. It's a shame that for every Ricky Williams, we have to be subjected to seemingly endless player interviews where you're lucky to hear two sentences strung together without the player fumbling over himself in some unintelligible gibberish.

Ricky bought a home in Kenner, Louisiana 3 houses from my sister's home. He along with several Saints players lived in the up scale neighborhood. One thing I can say about him, he was always polite, courteous and an insightful intellect. He had two huge Rottweilers that were just like him, big and imposing but a gentleman to the core. I believe he could have been the best of all time and broke all the records. For his size he could go in-between the tackles yet shoot outside and get the edge and not to mention he was very difficult to take down. I always felt though that he was looking for something. I also think going to the Saints and our head coach at the time did not have what it took to keep him focused. I hope you are doing well Ricky.

Ricky was a great running back however I feel that the amount of carries Ricky had bear up his body and needed to heal his body and soul before coming back to football his body needed that healing process and who wouldn't. The media was insane and the thing they had fun under Saban because Saban didn't make it just about Rick he also had Ronnie as well and that's what I believe Ricky wanted in his career was working as a team. Again Marino had Ricky next to him the Dolphins were Super Bowl bound for many years instead that wasn't the case. Fins Up
