Appreciate all what The Gamblers do for conjunto music,but the questions that you all asked about Mr.Ruben's use of drugs put Ricky and Ruben on spot,and didn't feel it was the time or the place for that,should have kept it about the music and their influence from Mr.Naranjo.

We did talk about Ruben's incredible music and influence in our culture. I myself went through a horrific drug and alcohol addiction. Drugs and Alcohol have been a prevalent part of the Music and Entertainment industry since it's inception. Jimi Hendrix, Prince, Elvis, Michael Jackson, Jim Morrison, Janis Joplin and the list goes on and on. Those stories have been well documented through books and even made into successful movies. no one ever decried the transparency about their lives. I believe that Ruben's life should be well documented as well just like those global Icons. The good with the bad. Maybe his story can change someone's life for the better. Ruben's life was a fascinating one and he left a musical legacy that fortunately still lives on through his grandson. Thank you Rick Romo for supporting our channel. More great interviews to come.
