My whole effort has been to keep the foxes OUT. I've learned that once they get on your land, you just have to keep building walls around them (double walls are usually necessary), and just keep moving them around the fox as he works his way back to the road. Apparently they only go DOWN and to the RIGHT. You can't get them to go higher up or to the left. I've spent hours deconstructing and reconstructing my farm getting those little bastards out. Now I have triple barriers up all along the road, and I've learned you can't run the delivery truck when they are on the road - and especially when they're on the driveway - otherwise the truck "scares" them onto the farm property itself, and then you're stuck building walls for half an hour or more "escorting" them back off your land. Frogs are kept from being a danged biblical plague by placing enough ponds around to keep them happy. If they get out of line - just vacuum them up by moving the pond over them. Some farms have so many disgusting frogs hopping around I don't even like to touch the screen when I visit them! Also, some tips of my own: cut down your trees and bushes IMMEDIATELY when they die - otherwise your farm ends up looking like a forest after a fire has swept through. Eventually you will have so much dead foliage cluttering up your farm you'll never be able to earn or buy enough saws and axes to clear it away. Or have the space to expand. You really don't need to have dozens of nectar bushes to keep the few bees you have happy - at level 69 I have 3 hives and only need 6 bushes. When I get my 4th hive, I might bump it up to 9, but never more than that. If you want the bushes for decoration, and feel confident you'll always have enough axes to cut down the dead ones, go for it. But I've seen so many farms that are covered in dead, white nectar bushes that there isn't room to put much of anything else. What's the point of that? Treasure chests: For you newbies, you may not be aware that there are a good number of daily freebies you'll get just because you opened up the game to start playing. When you first visit your farm, the first chest you see will have a free gift. Also the first farm you visit besides your own will have a chest with a gift in it too; if you forget to check with the first farm you visit, the chance will hang around for a another farm or two, but it doesn't last forever, so get in the habit of remember to check! When you visit your town (once you're at the level to have one), the chest you see floating in the surf will have a free gift, and the first farm you visit, go to their town too, and you'll find another free gift in the chest in THEIR surf. Also, once a day (when the carnival truck shows up), visit Greg's farm and you'll find 6 items in his store that are rock bottom priced, so scoop them up. Also, there's obviously the "ticket" you see on the ground by the mailbox that gives you 2 free mystery gifts (at least, that's what I find at my level of 69 - it might be different at other levels). Always click on chests when you see them, because often they are free gifts of gold coins, diamonds, or vouchers, but unless you desperately need tools and are feeling pretty lucky, don't bother wasting precious diamonds on the ones that are "mystery" items. Very addicting game! Have fun playing!

I like the dead bee bushes they r so cute 2 me and the dead trees r hard 2 clear 4 me cause I have so many and my foxes actually like the dead trees, the only pets I have r 2 cats and 2 dogs so having foxes r like my extra ones and I actually thing frogs r cute in the game and real life, there was a tree frog in my pool and I swam with it, I did not get diseased or got warts so a little virtual frog will not hurt u🐸. but I respect ur opinion so I hope you respect mine. I have cherry trees lined up all across the top of my farm (specifically the top left corner) and it seems like the foxes are trapped behind them and never come into my farm. Hope this helps, but it might just be my game

I hate the foxes, too. I only keep 4 nectar bushes at a time and I always get rid of my dead trees and bushes. I keep my cherry trees behind a fence and most of my raspberry and blueberry bushes, too. I have stone walls around most of my farm. I hate when I get a fox because it takes so long to get rid of it. I know they’re harmless - I just don’t like them.

When actually catching foxes, the blackberry bushes aren't working though I frequently found them in the blackberry patch I was clearing for foxing. Apple trees work best for catching foxes on my farm. One note though, with edit mode now available if you are editing you need your fence that is enclosing the foxes to be in its final position in your active mode and in the mode you are editing. Furthermore, they need to be in the EXACT SAME PLACE on both layouts. If they aren't the foxes can escape. Just like the pets the foxes seem to react to the fence as it in in the mode being edited just like pets go to where their house is located in the mode being edited.

Susanna Garlitz u need 2 use many types of fruit that's in the flower stage 2 get maximum amounts of foxes also If u have dead trees u should make a subtle wall around some of em and never use white picket fence they "jump" over it and escape anyways don't just use 1 type of plant unless u can't unlock more yet

Hi Ricky cool video & helpful but I have 2 Q's first how die any one have 198 746 foxes as stated by a member a little further scrolled down I may have got the exact amount wrong but give or take. Q.2 Is there any way to remove foxes altogether? I was really lucky when I started to collect my foxes nearly all of them were hanging out together so all I had to do was hurry to purchase enough stone fence and I've doubled the fence up because they do escape single stone walls. I believe I've managed to capture all the foxes do they just keep arriving or is there something in particular that brings in a new fox? That was more than 2 Q's oops my bad. You asked why we choose to do Catch a fix or 2 well I decided to take the challenge after seeing this video plus I rarely see them corralled on any of the farms I visit. Thamk you for video gave me something to work on whilst waiting for boat or just lolling around. To finish my novel I would really like to set them free and be rid of them altogether. LFBNCFC you can catch frogs by pressing any water by land, not the beach in the town tho I don't think, but any pond you press it and keep pressing it you'll have a lot a frogs in no time

also you will need to re locate the pond RIGHT after you spond the frogs to across your farm, then delete it into your storage, on mine they have always still jumped in the pond after I moved the pond anyways so you do this and then they can't

I caught two foxes which I had for years. I later made a new layout and used it instead of the old one, and they would still be trapped. Unfortunately, one day one of them was suddenly gone. And now the other one has escaped too. I think that's weird since I was able to keep them trapped for so long.

If you have the walls too close to the captured fox they will not be trapped correctly. Let them move into the area then shut them in. If this is already done and they escape then id place some decoration like a plant in the way to double block.

once you have made a space tap on them and they go. Best to use the edit mode. Go into that and remove all deco and just set up trees and machines. activate that and they will leave then bring back your main design.

if the walls are too close the fox will touch as a result will escape. try to give a bit of space to stop that.

Do they come to chats. If they haven't chatted in weeks then remove them and get new members. Use the neighbourhood opt out to opt them out if they are int he derby and never play. Colluders, and leaders need to be more active in this.
