Rickey, Thanks. All your lessons are helping me improve my guitar playing. It takes me a while to practice through each lesson and really learn it. The PDFs help. I sketch notes on them. It would be good to have a little space on the left margins for punching holes for a binder. (This PDF had space, but “2 Things All Musicians Should Memorize” was close.)

The intervals you showed are nicely laid out in the Dorian scale shape. I'd never realised that before.

If you’re looking at the first note in the pattern that would be the root of chord vii* so the pattern is really locrian with an additional note. OR you could think of it as Major with the leading note added. Either way it’s a super easy pattern to remember!
