But in the final stretch to crown a new participant to enter the season finale’s champions rumble, one bad case of second-guessing screwed a potential challenger and paved way for a superstar to take advantage. And to think, this is a match that could’ve ended either way and still holds a shed of controversy. Heck, we had our current champion slide himself into this match hoping to win an advantage for the season finale if he won. But in the end, the very last superstar to enter this match ultimately became the ‘winner’ of this bout. That superstar being none other than… Chuck Norris… we know the name; we recognize the face. The martial arts star who once stood toe-to-toe with Bruce Lee before securing his own legacy. A man who’s been the fact of fitness programs, various memes, and even several appearances on CAW shows here on KZbin. Some say that the controversy surrounding Norris’s win came because Mick Foley, who was on quite a roll during this match, suddenly went blank and paved the way for Norris to take advantage. Which even more begs the question: Did Norris ‘earn’ a spot in this match? Does he really have a chance at winning the champion’s rumble? Only time will tell. Who was my MVP of this rumble? Let’s get down to the numbers: Of the thirty men featured in this match, fifteen competitors secured the most eliminations (Half the whole roster). The highest count of the night reached ‘4’ eliminations, which is three points higher than the average ‘1’ elimination. I give the Golden MVP Award to: McBigMac A name you might not be familiar with in McDonald’s marketing, but a figure who is a notable creation of a certain Matty Ice. This nightmarish rendition of Ronald McDonald himself was practically on the verge of dominating the competition in this bout. Some would say he was considered the overall favorite to win. But then a ‘Hangman’ spoiled the experience for this competitor and now all we can do is hope he performed well enough to earn himself a second chance. The Dull Participation Medal for the ‘lamest’ performance goes to: Stung… or as I would call him as of tonight… ‘Stunk’. Now there were a ton of superstars who performed ‘badly’ during this bout. But then some guy thinks he can come in, go heavy on the pounds like a certain ‘Thundermaker’ and impersonate one of the biggest names in Entertainment Wrestling (Mostly WCW). It all leads back to the phrase, ‘The bigger they are, the harder they fall’… and I’ll tell you what, Stung fell hard! If I were him, I’d do one of two things: Find himself a ditch and hide away in shame… OR take this experience as a means of learning from his mistake and ‘try’ to perform better next time. Another spot is filled and once again it’s not a professional wrestler going into the Champion’s rumble. Will we see even more controversy take place during this season? Will we see more of Matty Ice’s creations hope to secure a spot in the finale? Can professional wrestlers mount a comeback? But the biggest question of them all: Who’s next?
