Wow, I gave Cobblepot like ZERO chance. Nice performance. I am sad for Loki, though…he seemed filled with Glorious Purpose. Oh, well. Gaston's undoing was clearly his refusal to use the chompers. Did you forget? "In a fight, nobody bites like Gaston." Forget the mandible claw, you needed to use the mandibles! Yeah, that was the original-art Thanos, how he looked in Iron Man 55 before Jim Starlin refined his drawing style. (Also he got better inkers.). Similarly, we had Green Goblin in his first costume, with the jerking coming down to the mid-thigh and the cowl. Maybe he would have done better in his tight tee-top. And poor Grinch must have been wondering why Max didn't come to ringside to help out.

Little late here, but that was a crazy rumble. Loki earned MVP for me. He stayed in forever and showed why he's the trickster god. Seemed out of it so many times. But then Penguin scrapping out the win? never would've expected it. Funny how it wound up as a Marvel vs DC finale after all the different head-to-heads from them. Definitely need Kreese next time. and maybe Terry Silver too. Maybe could do a martial artists/Karate rumble? Karate Kid/Cobra Kai characters, martial-arts movie stars or their characters, old-school UFC fighters (Bas Ruten, Gracie etc...) maybe a few well known martial-arts You-tubers'd be funny. Loved this rumble! For my money, Loki was the MVP & I was rooting for him all the way. David Arquette was hated as one of the guys who killed WCW. He won the WCW Heavyweight Championship & pretty much everyone hated it. But recently, he’s garnered some respect with some wrestling he has done.

But let it not be said that villains are not as popular as the heroes, for without having some good villains (Even the ones we didn’t expect to be villainous), we wouldn’t have a good show. And considering the fact that even the champion’s rumble needs some good heels taking the scene, it was only natural that this match would assemble the best villains this series can offer. We’ve seen many surprises taking place during this specific episode, but for me it was who ‘won’ the match that proved to be the most shocking. The Penguin a.k.a. Oswald Cobblepot, a Gotham City mobster who fancies himself the number one “Gentleman of Crime”. Sure, he may be short, fat, and a nose longer than a little wooden puppet, but let it not be said he’s not ‘completely sane’ and in full control of his actions. There’s a reason why he’s repeatedly named one of the best Batman villains, if not one of ‘the’ greatest villains in comic history. Add to the fact that ‘somehow’ it took him two eliminations to procure a victory this season, this all goes to prove that even someone like the Penguin is not one to be underestimated. For all we know, he could be ‘the’ wild card who could emerge as the victor of the champion’s rumble. But who was my MVP of this villain’s rumble? Let’s get down to the numbers: Of the thirty villains in this match, only THIRTEEN competitors secured the most eliminations. The highest count of the night reached ‘7’ eliminations, which is six points higher than the average ‘1’ elimination. I’ll give the Golden MVP Award for ‘coolest’ performance to: Loki I will admit I was surprised to see someone like Loki to even last as long as he did, specifically as the unlucky #13th entrant. But not only did he survive all the way to the final part of this match, he secured the highest elimination count to pull it off. Based on the calculations of this match, Loki also has the longest time spent performing during this match. If there’s at least ‘one’ MVP of this bout who deserves another shot, Loki should definitely get in line. The Dull Participation Medal for the ‘lamest’ performance goes to: Captain James Hook (And yes, apparently ‘James’ is his name) Now there were ‘tons’ of villains who almost received this award, I was nearly tempted to give it to Galactucs. But what truly makes Hook a standout is that he was the first participant to enter this match… only to end up as the first competitor eliminated. As if fans weren’t ranting enough over how disappointing ‘Peter Pan & Wendy’ turned out to be, yet those same people acknowledged Hook’s performance being one of the best parts. And I thought someone like LeChuck would perform ‘horribly’ in this battle of horrible villains. Still, when it’s ‘Hook’ we are talking about… maybe he’d be better off reprising his role in a Disney Junior series. A villain is making his way to join the ranks of all the previous winners that came before. Will evil triumph during the season finale? Are there any good heroes who can measure up to this performance? Will we see another DC Comics legend taking a spot? But the biggest question of them all: Who’s next? P.S. Sorry this took so long, this weekend was ‘crazy’!
