Trains at Oxford - 27/09/2023

Filmed on 27/09/2023. After a grand visit to an epic Heritage Railway Centre, we get things on track as we make a first in over 5 years to what is Great Western Railway and Chiltern Railways territory. Yep, this is Oxford (Season 10 Episode 31)
It is the battle of the London Terminus stations to say the least as since the extension between Oxford Parkway and Oxford was completed by 2017, Chiltern Railways is now challenging Great Western Railway linking to the terminus of the Chiltern Mainline at London Marylebone and London Paddington. But, ideal links for Birmingham with connections and also for Worcester, Reading and beyond along the Great Western.
Not forgetting to mention, Cross Country Trains also plays a big link of linking the North East to South West of Bournemouth and Southampton Central and also Greater Manchester all via Birmingham. Great Western Railway still operates their class 165 shuttle services running between Didcot Parkway and Oxford and daily services to Banbury.
