Correct me if I'm wrong, but are 170508 and 170510 ex EMR??

I believe they are in EMR livery ready to be transferred to them. But I may be wrong.

Well, they are yes. But, they are still bound for East Midlands Railway once West Midlands Railway class 196's are in service. For now, there is one class 196 which works daily between Shrewsbury to Birmingham New Street with more to be in service in the near future.
