There is a problem with the secondary battle sequence. Whilst Charles Martel is shown to have 38.000 Health, corresponding to the ships B hull, Haarlem is shown to have only 36.250 health (instead of 40.100 health of the B hull), corresponding to the ships A hull, making this an unfair fight

@@thundersky9781 Yes, because Harlem will lose more hp to fire due to her extra amount of hp(if hull B is selected). Harlem should die 2~3 seconds earlier.

LOL Amagi's dispersion when shooting CM at 5km was terrible, yet it was too good to be real when shooting Haarlem. Apparently in that test the RNG god favored the French cruiser.

With the Amagi test, you guys didn't use the lock feature that improves dispersion against the first and second Charles Martel but you did use it for all Haarlems ... Wargaming trying to make the Charles Martel look good lol

Problem with air strike is in game you have no indicator like you do for torpedoes. And the box can’t be adjusted length/width unlike torps which normally have 2 spread patterns. Dutch cruisers are also missing depth charges.

Charles martel has speed boost and reload boost. Haarlem has shorter range, longer reload, lower accuracy, no torpedos, battleship burn and flood, worse agility. All that to get airstrike, heal, and some armor against cruisers? The dutch cruiser line look medicore at best apart from the Gouden Leeuw witch look intersting only because of the scharnhorst guns. So convert some free xp and go up to tier 10.....oh i see :/ But this video is fun:)

Since I have a Martel I am clearly biased, but I do wonder about the axulieries and what influence they have. That said, I don't think there are any bad ships in this game at all, and it's just a matter of sailing them in such a way that you get the best from them. Also, the rng of the Amagi shots are very hard to properly factor in. Not blaming the test, just saying its hard to do 1 salvo and consider it done. But I can't think of any better test, so I can't complain at all.

the test are funny ... the Haarlem is the worst cruiser of the t8. The problem with Haarlem is precision, it is very bad even with the precision module. The Haarlem's special ability is not efficient, out of 10 attempts, only 3 do damage. Charles M.'s reload ability always takes damage. The icebreaker only makes the battleships make you citadels even from the bow.

the icebreaker can not be overmatched and therefore the shell will bounce if shot directly from the front, or a penetration if shot from the side. and there is no citadel in the bow. -> the icebreaker does NOT make battleships shoot citadels on you

I really like this video series, but I gotta question just how legit this test was. I am about 50k and change away from the Johann De Witt, and my personal experience has taught me to not even bother with the AP rounds, that Haarlem and her Sisters are fire-ships.... like the AP is bugged, cursed or something. I had considered a couple of things that could be skewing my judgement. But I am not so old as to have serious levels of dementia ( it's coming though, reckon about 5 years ) Nor am I so high that I cannot focus. To try and see if it is me, I asked around... two streamers said that "farming battleships" with fire is how she rolls. One streamer asked the audience to select the next ship to play, I asked for Dutch ships. He laughed and said he "doesn't play meme ships" All three are quite good ( I guess you have to be to stream and/or give advice ). Them, members of my Fleet who play the Dutch, and a few randoms confirming that yea, something is up with Dutch AP, which should not be. And no, apparently I am not yet so mentally unsound or stoned as to be mistaken. To be fair, will say that I am a middling player. Not great, but capable when focused. I do pretty well with German vessels, as the brawling style fits my primitive and reactionary nature, so maybe it's all in the finesse. Always aware I could be wrong, that reality is messing with me. Just somewhat of a bummer that I have yet to really find that connection with the Haarlem, as I am a fan of the Dutch. Not one myself, I just dig the cut of Michiel De Ruyter's jib, how crafty he was. Never pick a boat fight with the Dutch. And Admiral Doorman is held in the utmost esteem, as well as the rest of the ABDA fleet. Everyone of them must has known the odds but went anyway... that is a grim and steely, nay titanium resolve.

Tried to look at Dutch news but could not see anything about this. Do the Dutch people know that the Danish Navy yesterday, the 24/11-2021 helped a Dutch tradeship from being attacked by pirates. Danish navy killed 4 pirates, wounded one, took 4 as prisoners after the Danish Navy was fired upon after it placed itself between the Dutch ship and the pirates. The incident took place at the bay of Guinea where Denmark, with an advanced fregat with aerial capabilities, protect international shipping routes from pirates.

We have the Haarlem in port...so weak, so passive....not a fun ship. The CM is the 'go to' queen for me and the Haarlem stays in port and looking pretty. How about the German battleship Scharnhorst against : A Poltava or Hood or a Florida? I have a good feeling it might lose to all of them? Note: I think the Florida is about the weakest Tier VII around but still takes a Scharnhorst in these tests.

I have a small issue, I hit a Kremlin point blank (right before he annihilated me) with a full rack of torps from Zao and it did NOT kill it, so I don't buy the three French Torps destroying a Kremlin. I really enjoyed the rest of both videos though. And I like USA Dasha better.

Completely different dispersions between shots in test 3 makes the test useless. On first salvo against Charles, there was more shotgun dispersions and most shells missing the target. Then against Haarlem it gets golden RNG.
