Ricoh SC540-03 troubleshooting steps and fix

This error happened intermittently on a fairly new install. In the old series, the web motor would go out and cause this code but Ricoh has since updated the motor and it's been a while since I've had any issues with the web assembly in one of these machines.
This fix would apply (if it has the same problem) to the MP 6001, 6002, 7001, 7502, 8001, 6503, 7503, and 9003 models.
Hopefully, this will save you from having to order a web assembly or any other parts.

I know this one pretty well as I used to service a school district that had about 20 of them (the MP 6001 series (older model). They are great machines and fun to work on, usually.

I haven’t seen that , but I have seen the orange foam roller get a flat spot and cause that issue

I haven't seen it again since this happened. A flat spot would make sense, but this was a new machine. Pretty weird for sure. Thanks for watching.

Sometimes new equipment sits around for a while, we do see a lot of issues on a one time basis, I had a new machine that wouldn't print to legal paper no matter what I did
