Hey willy, willy here!! One thing has not been done is to embroider tackle sports twil appliqué on baseball jerseys. Please look into this as i am in need of making a high quality baseball jersey. I would like to learn how to do some real profesional jerseys.

Any idea what the max thickness (oz. weight) of leather or canvas is that these machines can handle? Somewhere around the 4 to 8oz range of leather is where I stay, and what I would need. 13 to 24oz on the canvas side of things. Thanks, and cheers!

Not sure about the weight, but it more so depends on the thickness. If these machines can embroider car mats with thick rubber on the back, pretty sure sizable leather is doable as long as the needle can go through it. Would need to use thicker needle

I would say about 4-5 mm thick leather can be embroider ,the only problem you will run into it’s the hooping. You won’t be able to hoop 4-5vmm think leather on traditional hoops but you can use those brackets (I never use them) or you glue them on flat. When you have something very thick don’t forget to adjust (up) the presser foot as well !

It’s a pressure indent which will naturally come out by itself. It’s not a hoop burn mark. I’ve done leather bags and boots, and after a few minutes it disappears.
