I’m Joshua from RICS, and I am humbled to welcome you to the first-ever SPA Bootcamp. In the free series, I will be helping to show you precisely what you need to be doing and how to do it, and provide many recommendations for you to complete your SPA submission finally.
Remember, the SPA is different to the APC, it’s a representation of your professional experience and ability, so I want you to remember to take the time to create a high-quality submission that effectively showcases your skills and knowledge as a senior.
The RICS Assessment page is an essential knowledge hub for assessments, as it will give you more details about the platform and dates of assessment to help you plan activities.
To know where to start, I think it best to know what is expected and the weighting of the SPA interview.
Where the panel will decide if you are awarded MRICS broadly based on the weighting of;
50% Senior professional competencies and Senior profile
25% on the technical and mandatory competencies
And 25% on ethics, rules, conduct and professionalism.
Other elements such as the submission being professionally written, grammar, spelling, type of work
And The way you conducted yourself in the interview and articulation of your experience may also contribute to this weighing and decision.

I would like to ask you a question with regard to selecting a case study. The guidelines states that the Case Study should be within 24 months. Is it viable to use a project issue that is still ongoing but caused due to an incident that happened 24 months before?
