The million dollar question is actually "What peripheral do you use to ride so smooth in a straight line?". I have been trying with a Logitech gamepad and it's really difficult to keep a steady straight line. I saw below that you use a joystick. Will try that. Hopefully, that will be smoother. I drive racing sims like Assetto Corsa, Assetto Corsa Competitizone, Raceroom, and Automobilista 2 and I am competitive. I have been a motorcycle rider in real life for 40 years so I thought I should do fine in this game but I have a difficult time keeping the bike in a steady straight line and approaching and executing a corner with a gamepad is extremely challenging. Will try it with my joystick and hopefully it's easier.

I got the feeling man. Ride series was always more fun and arcade kind of a game but with ride 4 they Milestone dont really know which direction they want to go game physics wise, that's been hurting the game alot and made life hard for people new to wto wheel racing. Spend some time on it dont drop the game yet.

Thanks for the video. I am surprised you do not mention rider position at all with your play style. Other KZbin Ride4 content creators insist that rider position in the saddle is key to stability under breaking as well as over/under steer but you’re saying in the comments here that you keep the stick (rider) in a neutral position. I have struggled with the game for months but I have to agree with others that when I get the rider position just right like back to the rear under breaking then gradually shift forward as I exit the apex of a corner, I have more over steer and stability...it’s just very hard to master. So what do you say about rider position, do you think it’s not a factor or do you think you get better corner entry from sliding the rear with the rear brake instead?
@DrizzmeisterRR
@DrizzmeisterRR 3 жыл бұрын
Ofcourse rider positioning on the bike is very important, it's definitely helps under braking, lean angle u are able to carry through the apex etc. Ride 4 isn't a sim racing game, the whole physics of the game is stuck between arcade and sim physic, leaning abit towards arcade in my opinion. What i'm trying to say is while u can adjust setting here and there in Ride 4 to get better, one thing u dont have much control over while riding is the rider positioning. You can pull the thumb stick rearward to mimick shifting weight to the rear but to my opinion it's doens't really help and not a huge factor. What u need to do is to be as smooth as u posibly can on turning the bike into apex, try to be precise. Choose a track u know well and ride for couple of hours mastering one idea after the order like try and get smooth, then work on throttle control on exit, shifting down at the right time because shifting at the wrong rpm can unstable the bike, on entry and exit, learn how to use your rear brake in combination with your front brake. Those will be my further advice on getting better. I slide the rear to get a better entry but my riding style is not always the quickest.
