It has to do with the laws and such of the state or area. Where i live fire vehicles can only have blue lights in the rear and red and white in the front.

Road was completely shut down and you gotta see what you got before you can give a "size up" 🥴 vehicle was completely off the road with almost zero visibility 🤷‍♂️

@@oliver7garden An initial size up can simply be "On scene, 1 vehicle off the road into the trees, establishing (geographical name command", stand by for further. I do that all the time, then follow up with a 360 report, number of patients, resources needed, special circumstances such as IDLH issues, heavy entrapment, staging, MCI, etc...

Most unprofessional department I've ever seen, battalion chief's wear jean shorts and an untucked t shirt? Not to mention the firefighters don't have matching uniforms or even complimenting uniforms. The one firefighter who is in somewhat of a uniform has long, ungroomed hair under a backwards hat and his shirt is untucked. That helmet is a piece of personal protective equipment, why even wear it without bunker gear or even your department uniform at least. Red untucked shirt, shorts and no boots? The other firefighters turnout's were obviously too big and unbuttoned in front. They did not nearly block traffic correctly. Unprofessional and clustered fire and EMS create bad communication and a sense of calm on scene and I would be reluctant to trust them if I needed help.

Jordan Games many departments have a ride along thing where you can fill out a form and you can ride on calls with the station for a day or two. He filled out one of these forms and just asked if he could ride with the chief to this specific call.
